Frontier Fiber 500 only comes with 1 Ethernet Port

Is WiFi faster than Ethernet?
Ethernet is a fast and reliable connection type that offers much better performance for intensive tasks like gaming and HD streaming. Wi-Fi is slower, but much more convenient due to its wireless nature. In other words, both are good for different uses.

Yeah, those eeros are very simple. When we were redoing our bundle several months ago frontier sent us an eero 6 pro (the higher model from this one since we have the 1 gig service). However, it only has 1 ethernet port as well. I was originally going to put it in and add a switch but when I realized how basic the functionality was (like you don't even have the ability to set the 2.4 and 5ghz to separate ssids, I continued to use my old G1100 router (which has more functionality even though its older but its only wifi 5). So we ended up bridging the eero in and just using it as an access point behind the g1100. Works great to serve as wifi 6 (the rest of our wifi network is still wifi 5).
Eventually we will upgrade everything to ubquiti or something business class and wifi 6.

Get rid of the eero, get your own router, and it’ll be so much better
