This brings back memories of my vacation in Los Angeles back in summer 2010. I never been on the trains before, but I remember watching them go by while my dad was refueling the car at the Chevron near the Pacific Coast Highway station.
Such a beautiful rail system. Didn't exist when I live there in the 70's. South Florida should only take a lesson from this, but continues to be the nightmare shithole of the world for traffic and decent public transportation.
I'm originally from the Bay, but lived in Carson/Long Beach for three years. I used to brag on our BART system, but it's turned into straight trash. The trains in LA are much better and way cheaper.

3:50 5 years later and I just now notice Renaissance HS across the street had a fire drill in this clip. You can barely hear the alarms

It was waiting for the light so it couldn't cross anyway. Notice how it doesn't move until the cross traffic lightens up minus the bus.
Los Angeles trams :) Nice like in Berlin or Praga.

Does any of the Blue Line go on the same streets as Pacific Electric Long Beach line? Why such long trains? Do these trains ever run full?
