- Hello there ladies and gentlemen welcome to the wonderful city / nation builder / management game called Tropico 6. I must say I love this game it is great fun! Many would say that this is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits. However, today I will be using the wonderful bank spaming and toll road technique to unlock the power of infinite money which I promise will 100% not imbalance the game.
This video is going to be packed with funny clips in a montage style of british humor!

Spif has proved that Tropico 6 is really just Cities Skylines 2.
ya but the toll roads reduce liberty and if the liberty gets low then youre stuck with a coup and with 1800 people that have no liberty and half have been stripped of their right to vote (putting wealthy only vote reduces liberty and makes the non wealthy citizens more likely to start a coup) a coup is a quick way to lose (especially a military coup). not to mention the fact that his emigration policy forces all those who dont approve of him to stay (this reduces overall approval because the number of people that dislike him can go up but not down and the policy itself reduces liberty as well making it even worse). i bet that if the difficulty (the political difficulty in particular) were up high this wouldnt even work. i noticed that when he was doing a runthrough to show exploits in the monopoly game he showed the camera that he was putting it on the hardest difficulty but with this one he didnt. i bet this one is set on easy and thats the real reason this trick worked.

If Tropico 6 is like Tropico 5, it's pointless to make Coal Mines because you make hardly any money from it. I find it's better to just import coal if I need it

We do have a lot of toll roads here in Norway, except on the roads our government take to get to work, because Oslo is a perfectly balanced city with absolutely no exploits.

i love the idea of a city sim where you can choose to be evil.
You can do that in the latest Cities Skylines too, if you get enough research points sunk into policing you can literally have your own local intelligence agency and run a totalitarian police state.
Man, these brutal dictatorship sims disguised as city builders have come a long way from when I was 11 and playing a Soviet themed one every afternoon after primary school, some 10 years ago now. I'll have to try one of the latest ones myself, I've mostly been playing more grown up strategy games and vaguely keeping up with the large scale simulation scene through videos like Spiff's.
I think Spiff forgot to ask the real questions: how did his pirates manage to stow away the entire Taj Mahal on their meager pirate ships and carry it all the way back to this filthy-rich banking wonderland? The logistics of stealing such a massive building is mind-boggling, haha.
Tropico is ... not a serious game is the answer :p

Oh you'll be fine. I managed to drink coffee during most of Spiff's video's, and I still consider myself being sane and, well, alive ...I do tend to watch a FeedbackGaming video afterwards, however, just to feel better ;)
Depends on the tea, actually. Black tea is served with sugar. Earl grey tea is served with honey and lemon. English Breakfast tea I believe is served with milk. Oolong tea is supposed to be plain, if I recall. Chai (real chai, not the overspiced Starbucks bullshit) is served with cream. Green tea is served with honey.

@@BosphorusFloods Thanks man. It's not too bad here in SA. I hate fucking Julius Malema though. He is unreasonably racist. That's the biggest problem really. Incompetent political leaders and reversed apartheid. We have something called B.E.E (Black Economic Empowerment) which requires businesses to have very few European employees and reduces the number of white males that can be accepted to university to 5% which really sucks for my friends since they're still in high school (I'm moving out to the UK). It's pretty fucked up in my opinion.
I can use the infinite money setting when making a sandbox island, but I don't like doing it. It makes it more difficult to gage how much your actually earning. That said, I do miss being able to make Trillions in one boat shipment, like I could in Tropico 4. It doesn't feel right, only being able to make around 8M towards the end of the Era. Not when you see small countries making Billions in the real world and larger countries making Trillions. The balance feels off for Tropico 5 and 6 compared to what you should be making if the developers want it to have a more real world feel.

from a norwegian: those tolls are nothing. here we pay $6 for one toll.. so that's $6 to work, and $6 home from work. $12 just to go to work. then if you want to do something else later that day, you also need to pay $3 per way way. Go tolls!
I feel like every game you play should have a mod for some kind of Tea. Just seems right. Also I just got Total War: Warhammer 2. Any perfectly balanced "game play features" come from that one?
