    im so glad someone else is finally competing with EPOS for battery life, i use the EPOS GSP 370 which has about 100 hours of battery life and while its sound and battery life is amazing it has some downsides to it like build quality (its mostly plastic) and its just tremendously huge and has like a big unremoveable microphone, while i think its amazing ive been waiting so long for a competitor to replace them with that has comparable or better battery life, i find it really suprising that more companies arent putting a bigger battery into their headphones, especially the super premium priced ones, like you can drop like 300$(aud)+ on a super nice headphone with all these bells and whistles, but the battery dies in like 2 days

      I currently have Sennheiser (EPOS) wired headphones and i love them. Comfortable, sound good, and good mic quality. I am taking a long flight from USA to Australia and i really want a wireless headset for my laptop while on vacation, and battery life is definitely going to be important. Im stuck between these HyperX or the EPOS GSP 370.

    • @FrenchyAU
      @FrenchyAU 11 місяців тому

      @@boatingboy1011 ok, well i havent tried the HyperXs yet but assuming they still use good quality drivers in their headphones i think the hyperx would be the best bet for international travel, cause while i do love the epos 370 they are massive, they sit so incredibly wide on your head, and stuff like the permanently attached microphone and the near entire plastic contruction seems like it would make travel insane, so if you could get over the Red on the HyperX i think its the better choice, it has a smaller footprint, seemingly better overall build quality which when travelling is important, and its got roughly triple the battery life, so i would go with the hyperx personally, but please take that reccomendation with a grain of salt, as i just said ive never tried them personally so going solely off the few reviews ive seen of them but i urge you to do you're own research to be safe incase theres something else about them you dont like

      @@wildkatsage then i guess mine was defective because while music sounded ok the bass was muddy sounding and when my friends would talk through discord it would sound muddy bass intercom kinda sounding and i did change my EQ settings and downloaded their HyperX NGENUITY software and that didnt help much. and i noticed if i had the volume at 75% or higher get a slight hissing sound which i use to experience on a pair of old logitech wireless headset.
      the biggest draw back i had was when playing escape from tarkov i barely could hear people running or walking around 5-25ft from me or running around above or the floor below me where with my hyperX cloud 2 wired headset i can easily hear them and pin point where they are exactly.
      i might give Sennheiser a try but not their gaming lineup headphones id go for their audiophile ones like the HD650 and a modmic and dac/amp.

    I've had a original Kingston HyperX headset for over 12 year now, iirc, and it's time for an upgrade, as this one's fabric is just now starting to come undone among other issues.
    I had a tough time finding a headset I like, and HyperX has some good headsets from what I've found. They are not as bulky as say, Razer... but in the end, it was between the Mando version of the Logitech A30 or this one, and I ended up going with this one because the mic sounded way better and it would save me $50! Thank you for the informative video! You're awesome!

    So I heard that this was had more bass than the HyperX Cloud 2. I currently am using the Corsair Void Pro for my wireless headset and I have the wired HyperX Cloud 2 for when it's charging and it's just a wired solution that just works when I need a headset and I don't have to worry about battery life. With hearing it has more bass than the HyperX Cloud 2, does that mean it comes closer in audio to the Corsair Void Pro or the HyperX Cloud 2 looking to replace both headsets and right now it's between the HyperX Cloud 3 and the HyperX Cloud Alpha. If it helps at all, it will only be worn around in a small apartment.

    Does the sound change with the app? I found the initial out of box sound kind of muddy, like 300-500 hz is a bit strong, or maybe not enough highs, the low bass is good, but it's sounding muddy. Haven't downloaded the app yet so not sure if there is any change when you do.

      @@TuspeLotas the sound didn’t change much. I also found the app eq and dtsx didn’t work at all. I was however able to get an external eq called peace and use the separate dts app to get those features. Not sure why the ngenuity app sucks so much. I also replaced the ear pads since I have big ears and those shallow ones were not cutting it. Only other con I see for me personally was having to manually turn on the side tone everytime you turn the headset on. It’s just another button I have to hold press when turning it on. But overall good headset. Just those are the annoyances. Other headsets I’ve tried recently are far worse. Also the mic on this thing is really good for background rejection which is what I needed.

      I previously owned the wired Alpha's, currently running the Cloud II wireless, with big interest in the Alpha wireless here. I never had an issue with the Alpha wired set (except the wire was starting to go after a couple years) and the Cloud II and Alphas are super comfortable even after a 6 hour gaming run. Sometimes I do get a little warm with the headset but that is more so because the room I play in gets hot with my PC heating the room up. I don't know the weight but they're very lightweight for me (I hated testing out the Corsair Virtuoso Pro SE's and Razer BlackShark V2 wireless for weight/comfort issues).
      Personally super excited for the Alpha wireless because I do like the cups on the Alphas a bit more than the Cloud II's, and despite not complaining on the 30 or so hours I get on the Cloud II, the huge battery increase in the Alpha sounds sick.

      really bad choice imo, you can't use it wireless on PC because bluetooth limitation. Also using a inline mic or something like that also sucks. I would go for the Hyperx its cheaper and better. The only plusside sony has is its sound quality and the fact that it doesnt look like a gamer headset

    Which one would you pick between Corsair HS80 vs HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless ?
    I would mostly use it for VR and Sim Racing, so comfort over a long time would be beneficial, but battery life is also a important factor.

      @PannyLanny 2 роки тому +2

      I mean hs80 will last only 20 hours while these cloud alpha wireless will last 300 hours
      Trust me on comfortability stand point, I would prefer the 300 hour battery life anyday over a marginally better sounding headset
      Idk anything abotu VR or anything btu Alpha do sound realllly good, idk about hs80 tho
      But for me, personally 300 hourss batetry with a superior build quality is a no brainer

      Not to step on anyone's toes but no,they don't last 300 hrs like the other comment here says..at full charge and full volume they last between 19 to 23 hrs.. depending on what game your playing I'm guessing..like on the division 2 it's around 19.. which is way longer than my usual sitting..if you like bass I'd pick the alpha's over the Corsair hs80..the bass on the alpha is cleaner and punchier..on the alpha's you know where your money went! The hs80 is good but it's on the level of the stingers..I'd spend 50 bucks less and go with the razer Kiara pros..sound better than both! Or the arctis 9..thoses are nice too.. hope this helps friend!

    These headphones are very good. But my god, that HyperX STILL haven't made their newer headphones compatible with V-Moda Boom Pro or Antlion ModMic just baffles my mind. The mic that comes with these headphones is so insanely bad that they can't have invested more than 15 cents at most into it's components. And imo, that very fact that they went ahead and released such a utterly garbage mic to go with this headset should drag the overall product rating down drastically! These companies don't deserve a pass on trash mics when they advertise their product as being premium. This is not a premium mic! And if the mic isn't premium then neither is the product as a whole!
    I rate this product package a 2.5/5.. I give minus points for trash mic (Mic gets 1 of 5 stars for working) and for the headset having zero compatibility with 3rd party mics like V-Moda Boom Pro and Antlion ModMic. Not impressed.

    Why is every reviewer mentioning no bluetooth as a negative, I can personally say that I would not even consider this headset if it had bluetooth. That shit is dangerous and it should be limited, I get easy headaches from bluetooth. A female friend got cancer around her neck/ear area where she used a bluetooth handsfree at work a lot. I mean enough with promoting shit technology that we should use way less of so good on HyperX not using that seriously. I will get this headset for that reason and the battery life.
    Thank you for your review.
