Hi Srikanth, that's a hard one for us to answer because both sounded good but we gave the slight edge to the Evolve2 75. Although the microphones are comparable, it's all around an upgrade to the Evolve 75. You can't go wrong with either. If you don't need the improved ANC, mic noise cancellation, ability to hide the mic into the headset, longer battery and updated USB-C connection for charging, the Evolve 75 is still a good way to go if the price difference is significant.
Thanks, have to admit though that having both am still using the older jabra 75. The upgrade did not meet the expectations. People were not able to clearly on calls and did not face the issue on evolve 75.
I just received my Evolve2 75 and am also deeply disappointed. The mic noise cancellation sounds like it’s overly aggressive and my voice dips as soon as there’s any ambient sound. Nothing like the demonstrations we’ve seen here with the blender, dogs barking etc. By contrast, the old Evolve 75 continues to handle noise cancellation admirably (very natural). I suspect that Jabra have stuffed up with their software updates and don’t want to admit it. Or there’s been some mic supply issue and we now have a substandard mic. None of the above trouble shooting tips cure the current problem being reported widely in Internet forums. I’m happy to provide audio clips to demonstrate the problem, if someone with authority can contact Jabra and press them in this issue (I’m being ignored as a mere consumer unfortunately!)

Jabra Evolve2 75 is a very powerful and complex product using the latest technology. Due to that microphone audio tuning requires a very delicate and precise work with several iterations. @@HeadsetAdvisor There is a new firmware update for the evolve 2 75. I wonder if this has resolved the reported issues? you think you might do a video about it and explaining how to update the firmware?
Hi, great video, keep up the great work. I have a question relating to the mic background sound cancellation. I have the UC version of the evolve2 75. Using MS Teams the background noise is cancelled well through the mic which is great so others don't hear my crying baby. However, when I use the headset on my iPhone to make regular calls the mic does not cancel the background noise. I have the Jabra App installed and configured on my iPhone. All Jabra hardware is using the latest firmware. Have you come across this issue before? Any suggestions in addition to those in the video? Many thanks
Thank you for the feedback! We've found a similar result that the mic noise cancellation isn't as good on the phone as it is on the computer through the USB Dongle. Also, Teams has a noise suppression software built in, so that's why it could be performing better too. If you use Teams on your mobile phone as well, follow the article here headsetadvisor.com/blogs/headset/how-to-enable-teams-noise-suppression-tips
I bought the Jabra Evolve 2 75 because of the blender test and was very disappointed with the horrible microphone quality and the lack of noise cancellation. To be honest I feel cheated by the company this was my first headset from Jabra and the microphone keeps cutting my voice in and out it sounds like I'm always stuttering. The volume keeps on changing from nothing to really loud then too soft. I updated the firmware and still sounds horrible. I advise you not to keep on referring people to this headset as it can damage your credibility when especially when other customers buy it and can't even use the mic to block out my keyboard strokes.
Hi - I just bought the Jabra Evolve2 75 w/USB-C adapter and it flat out doesn't work with my work computer. Though it connects, multiple issues make it unusable and forces me to connect via bluetooth. I never had this problem with my old 75 set with a USB-A direct connection. Any suggestions?
@@HeadsetAdvisor My IT person just needed to update some internal software and Jabra-specific configurations. Working great now. Interestingly, none of the other external devices - mouse, camera, original 75s- that connect via USB-A dongles had any issues. Now that I'm sorted out, I'm loving these headphones. Minor complaints - bummed that they no longer come in the travel-durable case. I also liked the orange accents in the original 75s.
Hi, I have lost my Jabra dongle I bought a Bluetooth dongle to pair the headset with my pc and I can hear songs on youtube but when it comes to making calls from our company call software the device says muted and I can hear anything, even the ring sound. If @HeadsetAdvisor suggestion doesn't work, what actually works is connecting directly to the Bluetooth of your device. The main problem is not with the headset but with the usb dongle that creates the robotic sound. I have the same issue with Evolve2 55 and returned it. I'm planning to purchase again hoping that I get a fixed version, if not, I'll try downgrading as suggested in the article.
This video will provide all the possible troubleshooting steps to try. If you still have the same result, there's a 2 year warranty and you'd want to request a replacement from where you ordered or form the manufacture.
Hi Douglas, you would want to set the default of your microphone to anything but the headset, and you'll get stereo sound in the speakers. This is how all headsets for calls work that we've tested unfortunately. If you want stereo sound , you can get a pair of headphones of your choice then add the ModMic here ua-cam.com/video/Tut1KDa_S3M/v-deo.html
I use Macbook air M2 and always use MS Teams for the mandatory conference platform. Not sure that jabra evolve2 75 is compatible with MS Teams on Macbook.
Hi, one question: can the sidetone and the ANC function be activated at the same time on the headset while making a call? Because with the Jabra Evolve2 85 you can't. But only one of the two. Thank you :)
We checked on this headset and it works just like the Evolve2 85 in regards to the ANC function, which we found strange but that's how it works. After reading numerous negative comments, I can't help but agree that the Jabra headset, particularly the Evolve2 75 model, has left me thoroughly disappointed. Despite investing a significant amount of money and shipping it all the way from the USA to India in hopes of acquiring a top-notch wireless headset for work, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Just six months into using it, the boom bar microphone suddenly stopped functioning properly. Presently, my only recourse is to awkwardly utilize the earcup microphones for calls, but this comes with a significant downside - the absence of microphone noise cancellation. Overall, my experience with the Jabra Evolve2 75 has been marred by technical issues and compromises in functionality, leading me to share the sentiment expressed by many others who have encountered similar frustrations.
Shortly after the time of the Evolve2 75 being released Jabra did acknowledge there was a microphone issue happening for some customers. Sorry to hear that you're one experiencing this. There are many other Jabra models and other brands of headsets without this microphone issue to consider in the future.

I have a problem with the battery. As soon as I connect the USB cable, the battery status goes to 100%. If I take the cable out it stays at 20, maximum 30%. What can I do?
What if the dongle, the link 380c is not recognized by either Windows or macOS anymore? In Windows, a sound for connection and disconnection occurs every 10 seconds and is not recognized anymore as some days ago. Jabra Direct won't recognize it either in Windows nor macOS. In the Jabra page, when looking for warranty support and trying the sn check form, it doesn't recognizes the serial number that is printed on the dongle. I bought the dongle from a reputable partner, Newegg, now I feel deceived by Jabra. Can you recommend me another solution? Maybe a hard reset to the dongle with some third party hardware (without the Jabra Direct software)? Something else? Or maybe should I throw away the dongle in the trash and buy a third dongle, that would be the price for a new headset in less than 2 years, these dongles are expensive.
I no longer recommend Jabra. The audio delay is a design flaw that even jabra cannot fix. In their quest to maximize battery life, the headset goes to sleep every second audio is not being played causing a brief delay every time you start an audio. This causes you to miss notifications. I contacted Jabra enterprise and the confirmed the behavior but offered no solution. They should extend the active time before sleeping.
Sorry to hear your experience that sounds frustrating! From most headsets we’ve tested they all seem to have that brief delay. Have you tested anything that doesn’t?
I did not know that is how jabra saves on battery! I wonder if all models are like that. Do you have the evolve2 85? Do you know if the poly focus 2 does that ?
Is there any help you can offer to repair the On/Off + Bluetooth combination switch on Jabra Evolve 75? It seems to have become clunky and does not always function right. I can no longer get it to pair with a new mobile phone.
My issue is when I initiate a call in teams sometines the mic does not respond and I have tu fold it up then turn it down for the mic to respond, that happens in MS teams
@@Rvelazquez728 in your computer audio settings is the Link 380 set as default for both speaker and microphone? If it's default for multiple devices, set the Link 380 as the only default.

Remove the USB Dongle from your computer, unpair the headset from your mobile phone, re-pair and reconnect the USB Dongle to your computer. See if there's any difference. If not, you may have a defective headset and you'd want to request a warranty replacement.
I had exactly the same problem. I reached Jabra support team and after trying all their recommendations, and I tried almost everything, I gave up. They asked me to send them more data to escalate the issue with other technicians but I preferred to return the headset. I wonder how many returns they are getting because they don’t solve the issues. Which makes me think is an issue that cannot be solved with firmware updates.

I did not know that is how jabra saves on battery! I wonder if all models are like that. Do you have the evolve2 85? Do you know if the poly focus 2 does that ?
@@HeadsetAdvisor do you know if all headsets have this or mainly jabra?
@@popaki9484 yes this is how they all operate from what we’ve tested
@@HeadsetAdvisor so interesting! That’s good to know. It’s like how they make cars now...to turn off at red lights. I really wonder if it helps
Are you connecting to the computer via Bluetooth or with the included USB Dongle?
@@HeadsetAdvisor with the dongle
@@Rvelazquez728 in your computer audio settings is the Link 380 set as default for both speaker and microphone? If it's default for multiple devices, set the Link 380 as the only default.
@@HeadsetAdvisor correct, the link 380 is set by default for both
using this with bria counter path. in the jabra direct application next to counter path it reads: not ready
any thoughts?
This was helpful. Thank you!
You're welcome, thanks for the feedback.
The noise cancellation on my headset is terrible. I hear people around me like their audio is being amplified by the headset not suppressed. Any ideas?
That's not a normal performance so if you ordered from Headset Advisor, contact us, if not contact Jabra tech support for help. www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-evolve2-75/27599-999-899/contact-support
Don't buy evolve2 75 if you need the mic for your meetings. Evolve 75 works better than the new evolve2
Facts!
2 75 is trash. I feel it's a scam expecting it to block a fan or crying baby and getting a very crappy mic that can't even record my voice without cutting in and out.
I noticed the same in comparison vdo.
My Jabra device stopped working. It just will not turn on. Any suggestions
Hi Seshagiri, if your headset simply wont charge no matter which USB port you connect the headset to, unfortunately there's no troubleshooting steps we could offer. At this point you'd want to request a warranty replacement if it's within 2 years.
I love this headset but I'm afraid I'll need a warranty replacement the mic has completely died . Some say this is a design issue as it is common. If you can lead me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
Hi Torah, since this video we found another adjustment that could help. Please follow the guide at the link below and try the very last troubleshooting step to see if it helps. headsetadvisor.com/blogs/headset/jabra-evolve2-75-troubleshooting
Hi for some reason when i click mute button it doesnt light up
I love these Great service from you guy too thanks ! A happy custie !
We appreciate you!
I've tried all these and I'm still cutting off sometimes... I don''t know what to do :(
Hi Victor, when you say cutting off, how do you mean?
@@HeadsetAdvisor everyone is saying they can’t hear me and you can’t what I’m saying, my audio starts to brake. I’ve tried resetting and sometimes resolve the issue but in no time the starts to happen :( I’m sorted a few centimetres away from the usb-c dongle and I’m using a MacBook Pro 16
@@vadelafuente I have same setup as you, and while having calls via Teams, everyone says that they can't hear me at the beginning but after few sentences my voice become clear. While having calls via phone with Jabra everything works fine from the beginning. As some has mentioned before I ended up by using Jabra only for audio and my MacBook as microphone.
@@vanj0k this seems to be solved with the latest update. Now (after more than a year trying everything) is finally working as it should!
@@vadelafuente which firmware are you using? Mine still seems broken
I got the Evolve2 75 Teams version. Its connected to computer using the usb dongle and my phone via Bluetooth. I can hear audio if I receive phone call but I can't hear the audio from my mobile if I played Instagram or UA-cam video. Do you have any solution to this? Anyone experienced the same?
Hi, my issue is when I start a whatsapp audio or similar, the mic takes 3 seconds or more to start hearing my voice. Is it normal?
Thanks brother - that worked, inshallah!
Glad we could help!
Many thanks for this video but I can only send out a warning to anyone remotely thinking about buying Jabra -->DO NOT BUY. As everyone commenting here, I have had my share of problems with the expensive and garbage Jabra Evolve2 75 Bluetooth Headset. JABRA quality control is certainly useless. It is becoming a trashy sub-standard company and I would never ever buy any JABRA product..ever again! Not even the 2024 version of update or any other solution given here rectifies the issue with the terrible microphone problem. Grrrrr...
I have try many things but people still does not hear me at all. Can it be that the microphone is damaged ?
If none of the steps on this video helped, you'd want to request a warranty replacement from the manufacture.
Okay product but an absolute rip off for the price they charge. Have to re-sync my voip program once a week, constantly have to replug in dock for it to charge properly and the noise cancelling doesnt work no where near as good as advertised
Jabra Evolve have been a pain in my ass ever since I've owned them; good thing I didn't pay money for them; they were given by a company for which I used to work.
The microphone stops working at the same time and there is no replacement, they do not repair it either, I do not recommend it, a big design error by Jabra!
Yes we have heard similar complaints however we've been told recently that they updated the firmware on the headset to resolve microphone issues so make sure you download Jabra Direct and update the headset to the latest firmware. Let us know how it works out.
Wow genius!! You answered to our cry for help. Deeply grateful 🙏🏻
Glad to help! Thanks for your support
Hello-is anyone having issues with the desk/charging stand? Mine is not charging my headset and I tried wiping the dock with rubbing alcohol and still no success. I would appreciate anyone willing to help me find a resolution. :)
Hmmm will the headset charge if you use the charging cable?
Crap of a product. Mic stops working, volume drops to zero and I am not audible anymore. Let me hanging on numerous calls.
Sorry to hear that. Have you tried requesting a warranty replacement?
It's not that easy. Jabra doesn't have a market in Serbia, and I bought them in Germany
when i play fortnite i can talk but cant hear any thing even if im on yt
I bought two months ago I've same issues. Also I updated all of them (via jabra direct) BUT No Solution! Jabra is not a real jabra anymore for me. Because I spend a ton of money and I bought Jabra Elite 7 Pro (so so) / Elite 85H (have issue with win 11) / Evolve2 75 (the bad one) ALSO The comfort is worst! My ears burn in a day....! NEVER NEVER AGAIN JABRA...!
Sorry to hear that, give the Tilde Pro a look as an alternative ua-cam.com/video/2y5tTOAzmUI/v-deo.html
This headset is quite terrible. The microphone is difficult to use, and there are constant issues with it when others try to listen to you. I wouldn't recommend it.
Sorry to hear your experience. If you still have the headset, have you tried a firmware update with Jabra Direct? www.jabra.com/software-and-services/jabra-direct
@@HeadsetAdvisor Yes, I suspect the problem lies with the current firmware version.
i can hear only mono sound in application
If you disable the mic or change the mic to a different audio source, does it go to stereo?
I lost the dangle, I can no longer use the microphone
A replacement Link 370 can be ordered. headsetadvisor.com/products/jabra-link-370-bluetooth-adapter?_pos=3&_psq=link+370&_ss=e&_v=1.0
if you are here because the quality of sound on your jabra E2 75 sounds like a pair of free headphones on the last flight you took on Pan America in 1992 - then let me save you some time: These headphones are straight garbage. Literally not worth they money you just paid so either return them or donate them to local thrift or goodwill.
👍
wasn’t helpful at all
Sorry to hear this wasn't the fix for you. If it's still within warranty, we'd recommend contacting Jabra to get a replacement.
