I started playing pvz 2 again, and I have some tips: - I don't know how to feel about the premium plants, but what I can say is that I don't recommend buying seeds or coins to level up plants, because some plants are meant to be hard to level up - Try to use plant food every time you need them, earlygame the levels give you a lot of plant food - Most premium plants can be obtained by events, gems and collecting seeds, but you don't really need them, I suggest premium plants only when the levels get really hard - Read the almanac if you need more information about any plant or zombie - You might want to play in the daily events in order to get more money, seeds, and experience with plants you might get in the future
Hey Matt! Here's some tips: -Use cabage pults instead of peashooters since they kill a zombie much quicker. Also, cabage pults are able to target zombies by launching over graves, which peashooters can't do. -Cabage pult's plant food super targets all zombies on the lawn, while peashooter's can only target the ones infront. -I'd recommend playing the daily events since they give you free plant seed packets. Also, play arena to earn massive amount of the featured plant's seed packets. -If you feel the levels are getting boring or hard, you can always try the other worlds since they offer newer plants at very early levels. That's all for now, hope i helped🙂
@@elmofuniestas8079 I'm the exact opposite, I've been playing PVZ2 for 6-7 years and I don't know much about the game aside from what's in the game itself.
Here is a tip/fact: Every plant obtained is usually meant for the zombie introduced in the level after. Example is you get the iceberg lettuce for the torch zombie.
Use cabbage pult it has more damage and it can hit over graves and thx for get me to play this game again as you play I may had to restart the game again but it makes me happy to help you and if you level up your plants you can get them new abilities like iceberg lettuce will slow them when they finish melting
Little guide on leveling plants: Plants can gain certain extra abilities after leveling up an amount (such as iceberg lettuce being able to slow zombies after they thaw) around level 5. After leveling plants up to max (around 20 for most plants), they get mastery levels for increased seed packet amounts, that award bonuses like a chance for plants to activate a plant food effect upon placement. I’ve said it on the last video but if you don’t like the ads/microtransactions there’s this mod called project eclise (eclise not eclipse) that removes ads, microtransactions, and rebalances the game to make it more fair and pay to win. It’s also harder, so I’d recommend playing some more vanilla pvz2 first.
Hey Matt! Been loving the PVZ2 vids so far! Quick tip: make sure to play the Piñata party every day! You’ll get to see some of the plants exclusive plants for free and you get sweet rewards as well! Keep up the great content!
matt talking about zackscott made me so happy man. zackscott built my childhood and he doesn'tget enough recognition and basically whenever *anyone* mentions him I just become so happy
This brings back some nostalgia from my old playthrough of pvz2. I played this when there were still no upgrade options and other stuff, kinda sad it went down into microtransactions, but then again, that's how the devs make money. Hope you keep playing, and good luck mate, (you might need it soon).
It's more like that's how EA gets money, EA is all just one super crappy scam to get more money in any way they possibly can, like with the micro-transactions in this, the horrid loot boxes in Star Wars BF1 and 2 and even the PVZ: Garden Warfare games, EA used to make good games but they ruin them with greedy and grimey payments.

If you ever have a plant such as the wall-nut that is about to be “destroyed”, you can use a plant food to both 100% repair it, along with giving it some extra armor (Yes, armor lol).
Matt I recommend you use the Cabbage-Pult as it does 50 damage and it can shoot over graves (While the Peashooter does 20 damage and cant shoot through them)
the levelling system is completely superfluous for the adventure mode as all the worlds were in the game before levelling ever got added so you dont really have to worry much about it, and the banner at the bottom is just a daily level that, again, were always there before levelling so you're free to play em. only time levelling up really comes into play would be if you wanted to play the respective Arena & Penny's Pursuit game modes but they're a long way off
Hey Matt, here's some data: It doesn't matter how many plants you've collected so far to be able to play an event level. Usually, practically always, these give you the plants on conveyor belts. As a bonus, these plants are almost always premium, so these levels are usually easy, despite the insane zombie spam.
Just a tip Matt, plants that lob their attacks (like cabbage pult or kernel pult) shoot over the gravestones, and usually deal more damage, so if you need to save plant slots and can not keep grave buster use a pult!
Hey Matt, these are a few tips that I always use for the game: Once you unlock sun shrooms, always use them over any sun producing plants, You can stall the first zombie by planting a potato mine at the very end of the row in which the zombie is coming from while you focus on sun production, Primal potato mine is way bette than normal potato mine once unlocked. Love your content Matt! :D
Matt, in the beginning, the game may seem a little boring to you. However, the game gets a lot harder and interesting as you discover new zombies and new maps. This series will be long indeed; developers still work on this game, new plants and zombies are added every now and then. If you don't understand something about the game, I recommend visiting the plants vs zombies fandom. Almost everything is written in there. - In PvZ 2 try using plant food on all your plants so you know what they do and use them in correct situations - Also buying piñatas in the store for 100 gems is a rip off unless you have all the plants that cost 100 gems already, so grinding gems early on by doing quests is a wise choice. - The travel log is actually a really fun place you get to try all the plants (Premium) that you don't have in levels. - On massive waves of Zombies focus your plant food effect onto something like cabbage poult. - For boomerangs try to have one in every lane above even your sunflowers this way if an imp zombie from a gargantuar gets thrown behind your lines yo can just give the plant food onto the boomerang because it also shoots sideways. - In the Zen garden if you grow plants that attack you will get an automatic plant food attack as soon as you plant the plant that you grew in your Zen garden I'm enjoying the new series keep the content coming. 😁😁 P.S hope you don't get anymore lag

Hey Matt, just wanted to let you know (I don't wanna/am not gonna spoil later levels), you will gradually unlock new upgrades (that thing you saw inbetween Ancient Egypt levels 17 and 18) One I will note about is the Seed Slot. That meow was so adorable!
14:20 busts extra quick 🤔.
Pls MORE PvZ2 vids. Loved the first PvZ videos. Keep up the good work 👍
Matt here is a tip always try to organise your plants In lanes and try to place your wall nuts on the 5th or 6th tile from your first sunflower lane
Tip: If you find a level super difficult, go to another world to get a plant, just one level gives a new plant.
:)

Luv you:) and your pvz 2 vids
no matter how many times i come back i still cant get use to the beard lmao
Hey Matt, just wanted to let you know (I don't wanna/am not gonna spoil later levels), you will gradually unlock new upgrades (that thing you saw inbetween Ancient Egypt levels 17 and 18)
One I will note about is the Seed Slot. You earn that sometime later, so you don't have to buy the Store one right off the bat unless the 1 extra seed slot just isn't cutting it and you need 2.
i like watching pvz2 and watching ur vids keep it up!
You're doing great Matt!
matt shea: **finally starts playing pvz 2 after 8 years of realease**
