@@nieves8004 I'm looking to do something very similar. Don't know that I want to use what I think is MDF like you did, but I think I would put rivnuts directly on the sheet metal to create the access hatch.
@@rmeav8er677 I used Medex, its a form of MDF it actually resist moisture. I also used stainless screws and screwed it from the bottom up I needed the thickness for the panel frame. There are actually 2 frames one on top and bottom. The sheet metal and Medex is sandwiched by the 2 frames with tons of industrial 3m sealer.
All these cool little mods you're making for the XJ, do you sell these online? Would like to have this in my XJ!
