    Imagine being able to make your own dyes and then making your own bonnet from scratch??? Now that’s being self-sustainable forrealllll 😧

    I adore the color you get from avocado pits!! If you want blues or purples, try adding an iron mordant!
    Also, I often find that keeping fabric in simmering dye for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours yields better results. I've noticed diminishing returns if I keep the fabric in the dye longer than that.

      Hi, I’ve just read a book about natural dying. And they recommend washing the dyed fabric by hand , with a mild pH-natural soap! 🧼 otherwise the color is at risk being loosed.

      UPDATE: ive laundered it (as usual ) & the color is still exactly the same 👍🏽 also i dont use traditional detergent, just castile soap.

      @@abetweene i would actually like if you made a part 2 on sewing basics. You could cover how to use a template to sew. You mentioned you want to make pyjamas, i would love that, showing us how you make them. :)

      feel free to freeze them. seeds i Ieave to dry out. u can put them in a basket in the window sill.

      i generally freeze them because its quick but i think drying them is best & easiest to store.

    Hi i have a question regarding sugar waxing. If I wanna wax my arms how can I hold my skin taught? Cuz u know Im using both hands. I got bruises when I waxed my arms.

      rest your arm on a surface & use it as leverge to pull your skin tighter.

      its a soft cap that people of color commonly wear to hed to retain moisture in our hair and prevent breakage.

      depends on how much dye and how well u mordant. this color stayed the same after washing
