I adore the color you get from avocado pits!! If you want blues or purples, try adding an iron mordant! Also, I often find that keeping fabric in simmering dye for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours yields better results. I've noticed diminishing returns if I keep the fabric in the dye longer than that.
Now why would you ask us if we want more, knowing that we could watch you draw a line and want a tutorial on that ! Lol. Bonnet came out great! Hope you’re enjoying dyeing new things and when you’re ready go drop more .. we’ll be watching !
I'm totally here for these sewing videos and this color. I am too experimenting with my sewing, so seeing other people experiment too gets me excited!!!
What is this peaceful music? You always have the most calming sounds, including your voice, in your videos. Do you have a Spotify playlist we can follow? You, Miss, are truly a vibe. ❤️
Hi, I’ve just read a book about natural dying. And they recommend washing the dyed fabric by hand , with a mild pH-natural soap! 🧼 otherwise the color is at risk being loosed.
@@abetweene i would actually like if you made a part 2 on sewing basics. You could cover how to use a template to sew. You mentioned you want to make pyjamas, i would love that, showing us how you make them. :)
@@abetweene Clothes, home goods, miscellaneous ... I’ve only been sewing for a year and it helps to see other people get creative. This bonnet is now on my to-do list! 🥰
Hi i have a question regarding sugar waxing. If I wanna wax my arms how can I hold my skin taught? Cuz u know Im using both hands. I got bruises when I waxed my arms.
You have so many different sectors on your channel but they all come across so cohesive. I love it so much omg
Imagine being able to make your own dyes and then making your own bonnet from scratch??? Now that’s being self-sustainable forrealllll 😧

Do you have any tips for storing food waste until you’re ready to make dyes?
feel free to freeze them. seeds i Ieave to dry out. u can put them in a basket in the window sill.
@@abetweene thank you!
I had no idea the skin of the avocado also worked as a dye. Thanks for this!

Great video like always.
Very interesting
@abetweene what do you think is best to dry them and store them or to freeze them?
i generally freeze them because its quick but i think drying them is best & easiest to store.
Hi i have a question regarding sugar waxing. If I wanna wax my arms how can I hold my skin taught? Cuz u know Im using both hands. I got bruises when I waxed my arms.
rest your arm on a surface & use it as leverge to pull your skin tighter.
I'll be first in line for anything you make and wana sell. I live in NY!
How can we test out our own water to see what type of water we have?
purchase ph strips
Woww
I feel kinda dumb... what is a bonnet? A beret or a shower cap
its a soft cap that people of color commonly wear to hed to retain moisture in our hair and prevent breakage.
watch "Above majestic" and "i pet goat ||"
❤️
Pretty cool. I wonder how much co!or stays after washing! You're awesome and just a jack of all trades, but a woman. Lol
depends on how much dye and how well u mordant. this color stayed the same after washing
