Can We Get a 👍For Terminator?
▶ What Scene Should be next?
▶ Let Us Know if we should do a Part II and WHO should be in it?!
When wash dies in serenity
Hannah's reaction is the correct reaction. "It's ok; he's just a robot." while crying.
When you lie to yourself to make it hurt less or emotional, then you have become almost a cyborg yourself.
This is the sense of heart that the later Terminator movies just don't have, man.
Agreed, I feel the franchise traded heart for theatrics
@@augmentedjester7659 That and just repeating the same shit over and over and not attempting anything new. LIKE Terminator 2 did.
Linda Hamilton should have received an Oscar nod for this film. She was amazing and the character had so much range.
Honestly I've said for years that she's top 5 most talented actresses, easy
The academy has been snubbing sci-fi for decades, save for a few rare years.
@@vanquish421Yup! Sci Fi was never taken seriously as an art form. Just like comic book movies of this generation. Its too low brow for all the high and mighty "artists" like Scorcese, DeNiero, Pacino etc.
@fedord01 Eh, not sure what Deniro and Pacino have said on the matter, but Scorsese was taken out of context. If you hear his full quote, it makes sense, and he isn't straight hating on superhero films. I say this as someone who likes most of the MCU phases (not these past couple though), and Scorsese films.
And she got jacked!
I love how he's basically telling John that he would be crying if he could..
I thought it was meant to symbolize how hed never be able to fit in with humans
"I know now why you cry,
but it's something that I can never do."
Best line ever ❤❤
It's beautiful, but I think "If a machine, a Terminator, can learn the value of human life...maybe we can to." kills it. The Terminator's was sorrowful, but Sarah is hopeful for the first time in years.
"The unknown future rolls toward us. I face it for the first time with a sense of hope, because if a machine, a Terminator, can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too." - Sarah Connor
What is a crime against humanity is the fact that some modern releases have the (purposely) cut alternative ending, instead of this beautiful, simple and clean finale. And some of these "reactors" saw said alt ending during their first watch.
This!!!
The original ending for the movie is actually of an elder Sarah Conor watching an adult John playing with his daughter in a park.
T2 is really one of the best movies ever made.
I feel no shame in saying I cried at the end of this movie when I saw it in the theater. This was Arnold's and James Cameron's magnum opus.
truly the only terminator movies anybody needs are the first two. watching the rest will ruin the good feelings. 😄
James Cameron's goal for this movie was to get people to cry for the Arnold Terminator. I'd say he accomplished it.
One of the most emotional moments in the Terminator franchise.
What do you mean one of? There are only 2 Terminator movies and if you think otherwise you are wrong. 😆
No you'd be wrong as there was T-3 Rise of the Machines, Salvation, Genisys, and Dark Fate. Now whether you choose to acknowledge them or feel they weren't as good as the first two is irrelevant. I'm aware you may be joking but I actually liked T-3. @@Mojova1
Yes,this ending scene hits your-HUMANITY-right in the heart.
@@MDSlatanicaTerminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is the closest sequel we'll get to Terminator 2.
Hannah. Bless her. Hers is the best reaction I've seen. Trying to convince herself it's just a robot so doesn't matter. LOL. And her response to the thumbs up. 👍 Just perfect. I reckon her reaction is exactly what James Cameron wanted to achieve with this scene.
I saw this in the theater when I was 11-12, and was bawling my eyes out
I was 13. What a great memory
My brother and I would annoy our parents, because they would ask what movie we wanted to see and we'd yell, "Terminator 2!!!"
They'd be like, "We're not seeing that again, pick something else!!!"
"It has to end here. If this series continues... it will only get worse."
And....it did.
lol
To me the first two movies are cannon, the rest are shit and dont deserve to be in the same universe.
to be fair, i still don’t know how a liquid metal terminator went back when no metal can go back in time
it is impossible for the liquid metal to have human skin, it would be useless then.
@@mckenzie.latham91well they could send t1000 bound in human skin, which was destroyed during sending
12:21 "Why's it so slow?"
Because then we wouldn't be able to listen to the epic music and wouldn't be crying our eyes out. 😭
I saw this in the theater with several friends and I cried so hard at the end they left me sitting there hysterical.
"This won him governor im telling you that right now" haha youre right sis
One of very few examples where the sequel is somehow way better than the original! I'd put "Aliens" in that category too.
Empire Strikes Back and Paddington 2 as well
If we consider Silence of the Lambs a Manhunter sequel, then…
I'd put Pirate of the Caribbean 'Dead Man's Chest' in there too.
IMHO Terminator 2 is the greatest piece of media ever created.
There are many: Bad Boys 2, The Godfather 2, Avengers: Infinity Way and Endgame, The Dark Knight, Batman Returns, Superman 2, Captain America: Civil War, 22 Jump Street, and others
We can all related to John Connor as we gotten older. Like him, I grew up without a father.
This movie is the greatest piece of art in the history of mankind.
Natalie: "It can't be over because there's a Terminator 3."
Fandom: "We don't talk about that"
" they just dont make movies like this anymore" so true, and so sad... The movie end is very similar how Soma the game ends. You already knew from the start this would happen, but you forget through the movie because its not a focus point, and then it hits you like a train because through connor you make a connection with him.
T2 is the GOAT
Two things stand out to me about this scene;
1.) The Terminator saying “I now know why you cry, but it’s something I can never do” hits home about how it is in fact a machine, learning to value human lives despite not having real emotions. The script could have just as easily made the Terminator shed a single tear for cheesy movie magic, but it would have taken the emotion out of it.
2.) The Terminator was sure and certain about getting rid of the final Skynet chip. No way around, no hope, no other means of preventing Judgment Day, and the fact that Edward Furlong sells his crying just drives that emotion home.
Now why didn't Ahnold get an Oscar for this solid performance
Of all the would-be fathers that came and went over the years, this thing, this machine, was the only one that measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice....
And who's fault is that, Sarah?
@@taterboob what do you mean by that?
this is the scene that makes men cry.Goat action film.
Man tears are nothing to play with...goat indeed.
The thumbs up gets me everytime. 👍😪
Same...That and when when Sarah offers her hand to the terminator. That sign of approval from Sarah Connor is no small feat after the life of shit she have gone through due to the first one. Beautiful.
Agreed
Same here.😥
Genuinely, the first movie that ever made me cry.
In the novelization of T2... before he went into the vat, he experienced his first emotion: fear..and fear of the unknown.
There were many T-800s but this one was unique, he was special...he was the tin man who found his heart.
And people say Arnold can't act. He's in my top 5.
I like when they realize that Arnold's the good guy this time around.
Yup, the whole "He's dead he's dead "Get down" He's....what?"
The terminator turned out to be more human than the rest of us .
For me, there are only two films in this saga and the true ending is that of the remastered version where we see Sarah as a happy old woman watching Jhon in a park playing with his granddaughter
Her granddaughter lol...his daughter..
@@davidsavage5630 She is Jhon's daughter... Therefore she is Sarah's granddaughter...
@@TheLordofthewolf Ironically 30 years later she looked younger than her in the old age makeup.
1:14 its a robot why am i upset 😅
That first one was hilarious. The guy was laughing at his girlfriend while she was bawling her eyes out lmao and he put a finger on her tear like the Terminator did to John in the movie. That made me laugh 😂😂
That's ash
Oh yeah, T2, action and killing stuff movie! Nah it’s a father and son movie. The action was pure gravy.
This still breaks me to this day !
Me too. But,this film is the movie where it makes me feel ashamed tho, that end speech by Linda-Because if a machine,a Terminator, can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too. My head went down in-SHAME.
The anti-Pinocchio arc
I was 8 or 9 when I saw this at the cinema and I teared up. Even my parents teared up. Such an emotional ending after such a wild intense ride of action.
It’s one of the greatest sci fi/action films ever.
The fiery pit reminded me of a viking funeral pyre...a send off for valiant heroes.
The moment when Arnie says goodbye is so poignant because he's a character who is known for saying "I'll be back." If only Hollywood understood storytelling.
Imagine never seeing Terminator 2
Lol, this won him Governor…
I think what happens after this movie with Sarah and John is where the TV series Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles comes in those are the years between Terminator 2 and Terminator 3 :rise of the machines
This was the first movie I ever hard cried at the end
I was 7 in ‘91 seeing this in theaters (thanks dad👍) and I balled my eyes out at this scene. It is, and forever will be my favorite film of all time.
Best Movie ever made!!!!
FunFact:
This was *James camerons*
Origunal Idea for The Terminator (1) However, due to Technicall limitations of the 80s.
It wasn't' possible until T2 in 93.
His Dream Was what made
T2 An Reality from the *Directors PoV*
Honestly this is where the series should have just ended now the series is tarnished
It should have ended with the third film.
@@Lloyd-Franklinnope….this second one was perfect. They fucked up the entire franchise with those other movies. The only movie that made sense is that futuristic movie where they were fighting the machines.
@@LyndonswingSalvation?
None of the others come close to the first two. 3 sucks. Salvation just doesn't feel right at all despite being not awful. I'll cop to "enjoying" Genisys and Dark Fate in a "mid to lesser MCU movie" kinda way. At least they have good visuals and decent action and actually look like they cost as much as they did **cough** T3 **cough** ..but nothing touches the first two. They're in the upper echelon of ALL movies. I wouldn't say the series is tarnished though...Cameron didn't direct any of the other ones so it's pretty easy for me to just pretend the other ones don't count or exist or whatever..
CHRIST. That first reaction. I’ve been a terminator hard-core lore fan (I know every comic/film/game, have been to Cheyenne just for T) hey never lit together the button connection. That’s why I love this fandom. You are always learning/seeing something new. 🙂
It's okay guys! It's a robot! 🤣❤
I liked the comparison of deaths between the two terminators. The T-1000 thrashing and screaming and trying to morph into anyone it could, including the 101 likeness of the T-800. John's terminator doesnt even flinch as he is lowered into the molten steel then giving the thumbs up as a final comforting act.
Steven Spielberg said, "Music is 50% of the succes of a movie" Complements to Brad Fiedel for the awesome Terminator Soundtrack.
cue that theme.
One of the few scenes where men are permitted to cry 😭
The terminator was the friends we made along the way
Greatest of all is how humble the T-800's termination is in contrast to the struggling, almost agony-struggling, T-1000 Termination. The T-1000 was terminated almost like a human or other living being fighting for its life, which makes it both pitiful but natural at the same time, while the T-800 is more of a machine and dies indifferently and humbly. Likewise died and covered by the press in T1, also without him making dramas. So great!
"I know now why you cry..."
*Pokes John intentionally in the eye*
Man when i was a kid these were (and still are) my favourite movies. I was 4 when i saw The Terminator for the first time. T2 was essentially right after. Cried at the end of T2.
I don't know about anyone else but I saw that shit in theaters and it destroyed me. The thumbs up was just a fuck your emotions on top of the cake.
elena is so emotional 😍
I see alot of similarities with this scene and Android 16 being sentimental with Gohan about loving all life.
11:04 so long, T800.
Arnold's greatest movie 😊
It is true.
Sok, this was me, 30+ years ago as a kid in the theater.
I`m crying like a baby
Recently found your channel. Been enjoying your content! Keep up the good work :)
"If a machine, Terminator can learn the value of human life...maybe we can too."
"They just don't make movies like that any more."
You got that right, buddy. You got that right.
Fun fact they couldn't get the cgi right so they just lowered arnold into a vat of motel metal but it refused to actually make contact with him out of respect
I refuse to believe that a male in his 20’s has not seen T2 before and it’s his first time watching. It’s just unfathomable and it’s faked for views.
A lot of younger people don't watch movies that were made before they were born, or even before they were of movie-watching age.
Her boyfriend is a legend for poking at her tear.
Guys ... ... ... he's a robot.
"Not a robot...a cyborg. Living tissue, covering a metal exoskeleton "
"It has to end here" ...later producers: come on man 2 or 3 more movies, we still can milk it !
This movie hits for those of us who grew up without a father…
Mine would die 2 years after seeing this. I was 14.
The best reaction to this I ever saw was from Kot & Ket on Pillow Hero.
My favorite terminatot movie of all time❤️
6:48 oh my gosh all John wants to do is play patty cake with the Terminator
Terminator 3, " You only Postponed It,Judgement Day Is Inevitable"...
That's a tough scene to watch. I didn't even see the 1st movie. So emotional.
I want to see a compilation of the America History X scene now
This scene has made more men cry than almost any other scene in movie history
Don't worry. He Will be back.
1:55 And Hollywood isn't what it was. Just like what Jim Carrey said in his retirement.
👍
👍
👍
losing the only real father figure he's ever known 😢
Masterpiece
What an amazing ending, but how much better would it be if like the next day another Terminator kills John and then marries a woman and sells drapes?
Brilliant.
You win a job at a major movie studio.
😢
He is a robot, but youre arent thats why you're crying.
Great Reactions Everyone, Nice
I heard the thumbs up was improved. So good.
Seriously the greatest movie ever made.
👍
Hasta la vista baby...😢👍💖
thanks Jill Valentine for opening this vid
Exactly, they don't make movies like this anymore
I very well done ending ❤
It's not a robot, it's an Android
It is a cybernetic organism, living tissue over metal endoskeleton
good movie
Way to go for this film making us cry because of a stiff, monotone machine.
just think. according to the last terminator movie, John gets shot dead in a few months.
