Hey there! Diode Dynamics will be releasing a GM harness very soon. The engineering team has found a solution and awaiting a bulk order of harnesses to begin offering to GM owners.
Thanks for the update. That's definitely something I'd be eager to try on my 2021 GMC Sierra in my channel. Is it possible I can get one early with the new harness for review a detailed review? I'd love to share the C1R with all the GM groups. Especially as it has a better fit in the GM hitch than it does in the Toyota 4runner hitch.
Hi , got question for you is it worth it to spend extra $60 dollars more on C1R ? or it just the same with C1 . I saw the review for C1R the different is just a flash when it break . The rest funtion are the same with C1 . running light and reverse light are the same . I don't need any fancy and why spend extra $60 dollars more just for the flashing ? what do you think ? please let me know . And also last question . does the C1 light it flash same time if you turn signal on? Thanks
Hey, great questions. So is the flashing the only difference? Yes, that's the only difference. Is it worth it? To me yes, I recently got rear ended in another vehicle at highway speed due the driver not paying attention and the break lights so the extra attention from the flashing light is a plus to me in my mind. I can definitely see how $60 bucks for that feature is a lot. I do think this is overpriced. Does it blink with turn signals? No, but it does flash when the hazards are on.
I disagree. Any dealership will charge $300-$400 to install the pulsing third brake light. For $160($144 on sale) you get an ultra bright LED reverse light, 4th brake light and flashing brake light. For me, the price is on point.
The C1R is still plug and play like the regular C1 correct? No wire tap needed? Mine should be here tomorrow
That is correct.

This video catches it better on my 4runner ua-cam.com/video/XuBOjCskEMc/v-deo.htmlsi=ouaMkkg72DBocT67
Is there a trick to release and unplug the 4runner harness?
No truck at all. It's just a tab you press in with your finger and pull apart.
🤦🏻♂️
Way overpriced IMHO.
I will agree with you. I do think the ptice is about $60 too steep.
How much is the one you manufacture? I’m sure DD would love to hear how you were able to manufacture it more efficiently than they do.
