Even though Dominion tied a whole bunch of stuff together, there is still so much that it could have done that would have been so cool to see! The reason I was disappointed with Dominion wasn't because it is a bad movie, but because of wasted potential, and what it could have been

Plus the kills were horrible I didn't see a single blood or anything. Everything was off screen.
I was so disappointed that Grant, Sattler & Malcolm never realized that actually because of Dodgson Jurassic Park failed. It would have been so cool to see that in Dominion!
I wish I would’ve seen it on screen but there are a few lines from
Dominion that hint that the 3 original characters learned or found out at some time that Dodgson caused Jurassic park. Like when Ellie first mentions biosyn to Allan, her tone and the way she is talking about biosyn shows you that they knew what Dodgson did at the original park.
@@theiking7182 They might know that Dogson and his company are evil, but I doubt they ever knew Nedry worked for them.
Heck, there's little in the first film to suggest that they knew Nedry was working for/with someone else.
I doubt the characters ever found that out, unless Ramsey somehow knew and told them off screen, and that could only have happened after escaping the Biosyn sanctuary.

That undermines the whole point of the original though. Regardless of Dennis Nedry's actions, the park would've broken down sooner or later. The breaking down of Jurassic Park was inevitable.
Agreed. If I were in Owen's shoes, and I was apart of the team that rescued Grant from Sorna, I would have 100% said something like "This is the second time I pulled your ass out of the fire. Don't make it a third, okay?" Or something snarky like that.
Basically, we had the answer for that "theory" already back in 2015 a few months before jurassic world came out: in jurassic world the game Owen had a conversation with Claire about his time at the navy, in which he mentioned that he trained dolphins as mine divers, which didn't work out so the navy wanted to release them into the wild. Because Owen knew that they could never survive, he looked for someone who could care for them until they were ready to live on their own in the ocean. Masrani said he will help Owen and his "dolphin rescue program" if Owen worked for the I.b.r.i.s. program. In the dialogue he says that he was "very surprised that he wouldn't be working with dolphins". That wouldn't really make sense if he had previous encounters with raptors or dinosaurs in general. I know that the game is not canon, but it makes the most sense to see the things in THIS dialogue as canon.

There's no way he was the kid, for sure. But, just because he was (if he was) part of the Navy team, doesn't mean he would have met Alan during the rescue. Pretty sure they didn't introduce themselves one by one to Alan. Also, they may not have been told WHO they were rescuing, just rescuing x number of people. Basically, because he doesn't mention rescuing some people in JP3, doesn't mean he wasn't there.
Doesn’t matter. The Navy team would’ve been aware as to whom they would have saved and even if they weren’t, Grant speaks openly about Isla Sorna and his rescue, Owen would easily put two together and realise
I think this theory is plausible, also that Owen probably still remembers Grant from his speech and the events of Jurassic Park 3. It also ties the two generations together nicely.
I thought it was already answered a number of years ago that he wasnt. I don’t remember why he wasn’t part of the rescue team, but I seem to recall there was a reason, but he wasn’t the kid from the first movie because the ages just wouldn’t work out.
Plus I don’t see Owen fat 😂
Well, the ages do work out. The kid in JP was about 11-12 years old, Owen was born between 1980-81
1980+12 years = 1992, so roughly a similar age to the kid

While I wish one of those theories were true , I’m honestly just glad Alan and Owen met each other and recognized each other by both of their experiences with Velociraptors .

Its possible that he did rescue Grant and Co, but he didnt know who specficially he was there to save?
I don’t think Owen is the kid, but it might be nice if Owen did rescue Alan from the island. I guess the reason that they don’t mention it would probably be the fact that Alan wouldn’t recognize Owen, and it’s probably been 21 years and he just saw it as a job, not a chance to meet his hero. Unfortunately, I don’t actually believe that it happened.

The thing is, would Owen have been a teenager since it was in 2001 and the kid was in 1993
You can enlist at 17 and deploy at 18
The Kid was 12 in 1993, making him 20/21 in 2001
It still would've been cool if Owen was the kid from Jurassic Park and one of the soldiers in Jurassic Park 3.
Wish they would have carried over Dr. Laura Sorkin from telltales JP The video game she had a real solid story and strong character development.

I asked google why didn’t the spino occur in Jurassic world dominion they said: in it jack said that Colin told him that the spino wasn’t in dominion because it didn’t survive camp Cretaceous. idk if that’s true I hope not .
A good answer to this would be that he may of still been present In Jurassic Park three however he may not of known where he was.
Example of this would be he was in the Navy resulting in him being on ship when the Marines where on the beach. He may not of been informed like many crew where they where all they would off been given was a rescue mission brief.
My theory is he was still present but on one of the ships with only the information being that he and others are on a rescue mission since the island was classified.
the line she sent the Navy and the Marines is kinda funny because they are basically tied together in the sense that the navy corpsmen are usually deployed with a squad of marines and the navy also takes the marines around the world. don't know why i barely caught that line

Short Answer Owen isnt the kid from jp1 or apart of the navy that saved Alan in jp3. But i like to think he was its a good theory/

In Jurassic park 3 the musical by LHUGUENY towards the end of the video one of the soldiers rescuing Alan Grant and others has the same model as Owen Grady in the Jurassic world musical series
I remember that the actor who played the kid in Jurassic Park actually came out and flatly said that his character is not in any relation with Owen Grady.

Trespasser actually covered that. It's considered soft Canon, but the reasons made sense. Basically there's 3 raptor tribes. You can listen to Hammonds memoirs for more information

The Navy task force theory wouldn't work anyway if we are just going with the personnel on that beach at the time since the infantry and armoured vehicles were all marines and the only sailors present would have been the pilots and crew of the helicopters.
Even then, the Marine Corp has it's own pilots, and to the extent of my knowledge the Navy doesn't do amphibous landings so it was most likely exclusively Marines at the beach
@PUNISHERMHS 2021 The US Marines have their own helicopters separate to the Navy and those helicopters were a Sea Hawk variant which are naval derivatives of the Black Hawk used by the Army.
