    This helps. I know its not correct but i have mobility issues with my left big toe and have begun to rest my foot by casually performing everything left handed making me ambidextrous. I have found i pick up left handed cata quickly lol.

      Thanks for your comment, @KaineVillante! 😄 The left handed and right handed are not really related to kendo and we do not have any restrictions (rules) over it. So whatever works for you that is OK. But please do remember the cultural and historical background of why we carry our shinai in our left hand and so on. We are never certain how it started... 😁

      @KendoGuide like most traditions being formed from majority being right handed, spiritual connections with the right hand, or the left being seen as disrespectful or unclean historically. I understand culturally that the right hand is proper and mean no disrespect by this. I am only accomodating my disabilities sensei 😔.

      Not that I know. It doesn't matter. The left hand is at the bottom and has more weight to hold and to handle, while the right hand controlles the direction.
