ROPSLEY HEATH LIGHT RAILWAY- NIMROD & BELVOIR CASTLE IN ACTION AROUND THE RAILWAY 08.06.24

Ropsley Heath Light Railway is privately owned by business man Robert Holland. In 2017 he moved to Glebe farm which is situated in 3 acres of picturesque Lincolnshire countryside giving him enough space for a small (1/2 mile) railway.
Construction began in 2018 with majority of works complete in 2020.
In this video we see both the steam locomotive "Nimrod" and then the diesel "Belvoir Castle" as they travel along the railway in opposite directions.
The railway is only open to the public on a limited number of days per year.
