I'm trying to find out how to attach the wood shell to the lathe to spin the shell. Can't seem to figure out how it's attached, could you explain in detail, or submit a video by chance? Thx in advance :)
Would you be able to tell me what the expanding jig is you are using to hold the shell from the inside? Are you worried that the pressure from the inside would push the joints apart or does the jig come with something that gives counter pressure?
@bcwdrums alright thanks but i have a few more questions. What would be the 2 best woods to use? im looking for a short high sound, but full. and any tips for a beginner? thanks

What brand chuck are you using, and what diameter cole jaws are you using?
did you have to make your own lathe jig? or is that jig to clamp the shell readily available to purchase? p.s. you do some fascinating work!
