gratuitous- out of place, unwarranted solicitous- someone concerned about your wellbeing demure- shy, coy demur- objection inveigh- speak or write something with hostility inveigle- to use flattery, coax someone to do something impertinent- someone rude redoubtable- someone scary, worthy of awe dissemble- put on a false face
Chris, you are awesome. Please never change! Thank you for your upbeat charisma & excitement for the mundane. You’ve really gotten me through studying for the GRE!
I was glad to learn these words, I definitely would’ve been tricked on the test. Although I do wish as each word was presented it wasn’t followed by the wrong definition because that linked them and made it harder for me to remember they were tricky when I studied. Also maybe post the correct definition with the written word on the screen, just an added ways to reinforce. Overall this helped, taught more words & his energy level is great, so it’s not just reading definitions.
I may sound impertinent for inveighing the directors but being a solicitous person nature I strongly demur the gratuitous child abuse shown in the movie. Although I'm not a redoubtable reviewer but still the director tried to inveigle me to dissemble my emotions by asking me to rate 5 stars
Gratuitous-unwanted, out of place Solicitous-some1 concerned about your well being Demur- to object to Inveigle- to use flattery to get some1 to do something for you Impertiment-someone who is rude Redoubtable- someone scary and worthy of all Dissemble-put on a false face Dissemble- to put on a false face
That's why we have to practice learning and using as many words as possible! There's no predicting exactly what will appear on the exam on any given day.

I am hoping if you can give some of the roots of the words. Thank you.

this exam is intentionally mean no one would ever use those words in real life unless they want to get weird looks
yeah but it is what it is. Let's just accept it and do the best we can so we can get into the program that we want
You should write the meanings as well on the screen.

The god of the old testament is redoubtable.
Demure and demur ..
They have a bit different pronunciation
They indeed do!
Ameliorate
Its wingadium leviosa, not LEVIOSAA
😂
Equivocal
Mitigate
solicitous means fully hearted i guess
Pragmatic
Hello

I want to like these so much but all I can remember is the incorrect definition explained in the video lol fml
Lord English is hard af
I think you mispronounced the word "demur". The two words "demur" and "demure" are pronounced very different.
Indeed, "demure" is more like "mer" than "mure." They can sound similar in context though!
Demur and demure pronounced DIFFERENTLY, not homophones.
Demur (de-merr). Demure (de-myoor).
there are two definitions to gratuitous, sir
i hate this section so much
Confusing video.. wrong narration before real meaning just to make video longer.
Thanks for your feedback!
Thank you
Nice video
