@@mikehenry6284 if quincy is grey then most likely the foal will be grey when older due to grey is a dominant gene
@@Jper65560 Thank you, I think 😉. I've seen many of Monsters off spring, and I don't think I've ever seen a grey that he sired. I raised, bred, and showed quarter paints for over 20 years, and I always used a homozygous blk/wht stud, not real familiar with grey. Blue, I would understand, anyway thanks for your thoughts. Waiting for my Shining Spark mare to release her hostage.What age do you retire your mares? Had a vet tell me to keep breeding till she wont take.
Each mare is different. They are done when they are done.

I sell horses I do not want to keep. That is the only reason. It doesn’t happen often. I guess that’s why I have so many horses

@@jheartquarterhorsesaz Yes I do, too. We are a tiny country but it is nice on the country side and we started 30 years ago to let our horses be outside day and night. We don't have so much property but we do what we can.

That is normally what happens. In the summer they don’t like hay. They like the native grass.
