    It’s abusive to have someone that large on a horse of that size. No disrespect intended. If she wants to ride, she either needs to drop some weight or ride a draft.

    Is that why you have a horse with an overweight rider? She needs to be on a draft horse or at least a horse with draft in it, not a quarter horse. Quarter horses are stocky, but not stocky enough for that heavy of a rider

    In-spite of the fact that I had never saddle broke a horse before - trained and bridle and saddle broke my Arabian made. I trainnef her to be ridden in both English and Western fashion and saddles and if I say so - I did a mighty good job.
    Since I was a small child I always loved horsed and I started ridding at a young age. I never took ridding lessons and instead read book on how to learn to ride both English and Western. I did the same when I trained and broke my Arabian

    At my age of 67 I feel that to this point in my life I have done more and experienced more then most people have. If God should call me home in the best future - he will do so knowing that I have lived a full and interesting life.
    Among the many things I have done is - I owned a beautiful Arabian mare of my own That was of chsmpaion blood lines. By luck I purchased her as s filly for the price of an air line ticket. In-spite of the fact that I had never saddle broke a horse before - continued

    I my self am a Big Man and I ride a Big Horse. I am sorry but it is just so wrong to put a fat person on a small horse. People should have better sense.

    I'm so happy right now! :) my mom, after my dad finishes building our house, is going to try and convince him to sell our house, move out into the country, and buy a ranch! We are going to hold lessons there, maybe. I will get to have my own horse! I'm so excited! I mean, I'll own all the horses, but I want to actually own my own. I'm so happy!

      You will then have a huge opportunity to make a horse's life better. I would encourage you to use natural horsemanship methods. No bits, no closed stalls, horses in herd settings, horses grazing in pasture, horses having choices for water, food, and shelter, etc.

    A man ( or woman ) bought two horses for €860 .
    By selling one at 3/4 of it's cost price and the other at 4/3 of it's cost price, a total profit of €30 was achieved .
    How much did each horse cost ?

      Taka Yama A tractor can do many times the work a horse can and the horses don’t get sick or wear out from heavy work. Horses today are riding animal and pets- and that’s wonderful for them!

      @@chanekawaihae8068 A bit is a pain compliance device. When the reins are pulled with 5 lbs of force, the horse feels 25 lbs of force on a 5" lever. A rope halter or true hackamore (no metal parts) has a 1:1 ratio. It gives the horse good direction without pain if used properly.

    Uhhh... not to be rude or anything, but that lady shouldn't be on a horse. the horse suffers from the enormous weight and she suffers because she is too immobile to move with the horse as it turns, resulting in her flopping around in the saddle which probably isn't too comfortable

    Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "types of horse training" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Menailey Vonaliyah Formula - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend got great results with it.

    Why is a 270-300 pound woman and at least a 50 pound saddle on that poor horse.
