First off, let me say, I am a 52 year old man. I have been happily married to the mother of my 2 daughters (24 and 25) for 26 years. That brother told his sister a load of crap. He liked the 10 year girl he was with, but he knew he could find better, so he never married her. He was waiting on the bomb to cross his path. That's how we are. If we won't marry you, we don't want you that much, period. I met my wife and knew she was the one on day one. We were married a year later. We did not live together before we got married, and we had no sex before our wedding night. Super long dating relationships are death to that relationship especially if he does finally break down and marry her. They will be divorced quick after that most of the time. If a man really wants you, he will marry you asap, unless he has a bunch of anti-marriage demons of his own.. You don't want to marry a man like that anyway.. I'm a senior female. Marriage should be on the table within 6 months to a year. Stay in your own house the entire time. Men know right away if they want to be with you unless they have some spititul issues or other goals. I dated 5 months, was married to my husband 25 years. My grandmother dated my grandfather 2 weeks. They were married for life over 37 years. 10 years without a proposal is ridiculous. I teach my daughters don't wait more than a year for marriage to be offered.

This is one of the reasons to why there are so many single mothers unfortunately too. To me as a Young Man I say it varies for us Men individually. When I was growing up dating for 2 - 4 years before marrying was the appropriate time frame to really make sure this is what you wanna do. Anything more than that was very questionable on what both parties intentions are but anything less than that was questionable on if they're moving too fast. Me personally I don't see myself marrying someone I've known less than 2 years most definitely less than 1 years but if GOD says that's the one then it is what it is. This is why I don't support any woman giving her man her body for sexual interactions if he's not willing to give her his last name and a wedding ring. To me as a Young Man I say it varies for us Men individually. When I was growing up dating for 2 - 4 years before marrying was the appropriate time frame to really make sure this is what you wanna do. Anything more than that was very questionable on what both parties intentions are but anything less than that was questionable on if they're moving too fast.
Me personally I don't see myself marrying someone I've known less than 2 years most definitely less than 1 years but if GOD says that's the one then it is what it is.
