The theory that I’m under the impression of is that Mammoth Ivory is how elephant ivory smuggled in sweet Jim bought me a box of mammoth ivory here at the Tucson show from a guy who wasn’t very invested in it, and just had it for sale in the box that Jim bought for me was a piece of elephant ivory
@@lapidarydave Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for answering! Decades ago in Alaska, someone gave me some old pieces of mammoth ivory so I was curious about it being banned some places. That and my dad, here in canada, gave me a necklace of mammoth ivory beads he bought way up north.
