Damn, this is probably the best video I’ve seen on UA-cam to show someone that’s never heard of Kendama. This literally is filled with everything you need to know. Such good work man!
Ngl this thing most people see as a toy probably saved my life man it brought peace in life and most importantly it taught me patience for someone who was young dumb and full of himself im glad i found this thing called kendama and shouts out to all the people who dedicated their lives to make sure it lives on forever 🙏
This was pretty well put together! :D There were lots of fun angles and cinematic shots to give this project good documentary vibes, I like that you were able to include footage of a few kendama competitions and showcase how fun they could be, and it was neat to hear everyone's interview answers! I'm actually kinda resonating with Joshua and his point about playing with a kendama feeling like a nice break from technology since I've been picking kendama back up as of late and slipping sessions throughout the days.. ;u; Alsoooo, Joshua and Nick getting picked up as sponsors for kendama teams/distributors after winning competitions reminds of the same sort of thing happening in speedcubing!
What a great video, I remember getting introduced to kendama in Minnesota during middle school. It really is just a simple toy, but there is so much room for creativity and enjoyment.
Amazing work dude! The nostalgia I felt throughout this whole video is one I haven't experienced in a long time. Safe to say a couple of tears ran down my cheek. I wish I could go back when all my friends were playing together for hours. Thank you for making it possible to relieve my childhood
I came across this documentary after releasing a Kendama video on my channel! Really enjoyed this! I could tell lots of work and love went into the process! Great work!
Kendama is incredible, a small toy has never given me back so much and I've only been playing a year! It's found a place in my heart I don't think will ever budge! Long live yhe Way of Kendama 💙🔥💙🔥💙
Relatable when Nick mentioned how it became a fad and then died down. I remember back in high school, it would’ve been around the time he began playing, same story at my school. Everyone and their mother was walking around kendamaing and then it just died
@@MicahChinn your welcome. I am using kendama also in a theatrical and educational way. Now i have a good video to show when people ask: "What is kendama?" If I'm not able to show them myself directly :D
Very Cool! I’ve played around w/ a Kendama but never more then a few minutes messing around! Your video does a great job at expressing your passion for it! I think a lot of people can relate (Kendama players & non players) to the feeling you describe of being that dedicated to the thing you love, and the camaraderie w/in these communities! I love hobbies (or careers) like this where you can complete against others, get inspired by others, but you’re really competing against yourself!
