You can walk in MFS?? I did not know that, and the moment I saw the title, I feared you're gonna attempt to walk the (actual) planet, just like in Kerbal :D Good luck either way Peter, I'd love to see the Netherlands through the eyes of your character, I was gonna do my Masters in Utrecht but I changed my plans last year, regardless I still wanna visit the country
What I think is interesting is that some of those buildings look to me (a non-Dutchman) to be specifically Dutch. Particularly the tall row houses with the high facades. To the point where when I see them I’d go from “I dunno, somewhere in Europe maybe” to “Oh, he’s in the Netherlands” even if I didn’t already know that’s where you were. I have no idea if those buildings really look like that, but the sim has definitely got some regional building libraries rather than just “generic house” or “generic apartment.”
I know you didn’t ask me but in my opinion it’s very accurate if you ignore how some buildings look strange, e.g. my house and a lot of others around it all seem to have 1 floor instead of 2 It’s also very tree-heavy because they can’t map the true location for each tree, maybe they should tweak whatever algorithm that uses to spawn fewer trees
I walked around my neighborhood in central Ohio. The houses were all the wrong style (mostly bungalows, whereas in real life there are mostly 2 story farmhouse-style and foursquare houses) but every house in the sim corresponded with a house in real life. There are a couple of big old Victorian mansions mixed in with the smaller, newer homes and those were rendered as *giant* bungalows, but beside one of them a small alley winds up the hill, and that alley was actually there, and even the topography around it was similar.
Literally the biggest map of Earth, ever made! 1:1 scale has never been implemented before in a game... Only a Sim could do that! Well done, Microsoft and Bing Maps!
Next up : Walking from one end of the universe to the other in No Man's Sky. lol Might take you like 1 trillion years at least. The universe will end before you walk across it. In other news, Flight Simulator 2024 needs a mod to RUN in first person walking mode cause DAMN thats slow AF.
I hate this map. I've played this map for 31 years and it's just not fun, and it seems to get worse. I hope I get to speak to the admin soon.

This world needs a patch or some mods.

Good idea, I think I will.
can't wait to see Part 2000 lol
How accurate is the game with real world? Did you see any similarities?

Maybe we could do a "cross the country in a straight line" like GeoWizard? See how accurate that is? ;)
You should do "flying across the map"
Wow i have a question sir which flight simulator is Good and advance 2020 or 2024?? 😅😅
