Your content is awesome! I spend all day in the road and then come home at night and watch you. You have a great sense of humor and expertise that so many people can learn from (adults and kids). It would be interesting to see what you came up with if you tried out some new intro lines… maybe take the 30 day challenge and try a new one each day??
A couple of questions: Do you guys install all of the new water services? Hot tap and all? New sewer hookups? What do builders/plumbers/homeowners do? I'm in Pennsylvania in a big city, if we have a regular plumbing license and standard liability insurance we can do our own hookups, hot tap and all. We get substantial pressure to keep the road opening as small as possible, sometimes that's a challenge. And everything needs road plates everywhere. One hot tap I passed on, we hired someone else to tap and install the valve, it was too sketchy for me - a 30' cast iron from the 1870s. and a 20" tap. Also, we use Exothermic welding for the anode connection. I have no idea what the real-world installed costs are, just the materials prices, we do our own projects.. Do many customers do it themselves? In other areas around me no permits or licenses are needed - just stupidity. You can rent the tapping gear for a day or two.
@@davidnull5590 the towns sewer and water department has to have a level 2 waste water certificate and the water need a level 2 water distribution certificate
ASs an old plumber I would have thought that you would have put washers between the valve and the coupling, so as not to i interfere with the steel. Greetings from Australia
