Professor Erika Plettner and her associates at Simon Fraser University have been working on a new control method for varroa destructor. Let’s hope it will be effective so we beekeepers can be more successful in sustaining our hives without having to worry if we killed a majority of these mites. Beekeeping as a hobby is very expensive.
