That's a strange one, a very strange one. We often talk about complexity of beers and lagers generally don't have that unless it's more special editions. But for a 4.8% this does 3 things.... Quenches your thirst Gives you a smooth taste Hits your mouth at the end The taste starts very smooth, clean and then it gives off a bitterness I haven't got often off a German Lager/Pilsner. If anyone has done a fad diet involving grapefruits the coating of your mouth at the end is very like you get with that, not as bitter though. I'm at odds although I'm just about to open a second one, I like it, but the end taste would make me have to keep drinking more of it to keep that taste at bay. I do like it, maybe the sharpness at the end is due to the use of hop extract which can obviously be stronger depending on the production. Think that is whats giving it the strong pilsner munch at the end. £1.69 up here in Scottish stores but thats still decent for a nice pint like that. EDIT: Ok by the second one the bitterness at the end fades. Screw it, just in from work so I'll have a third to make sure! EDIT AGAIN: Back to home bargains with a big bag tomorrow.
@ That's the trouble with home bargains, they buy container loads of beers that need shifted. They did it with Italian cans of Moretti years ago and red stripe before and also Tsingtao small bottles. Hopefully this hangs around, I'll go and check again tomorrow. 30p on the can from England to Scotland is a wee hit but a few more cans wont hurt.

From what I've seen online folks it's brewed by that German brewer 'Engel' and its basically their Helles under a different name
