I've build one to the best of my abilities with Ishkannah, it works... if you either have a nyxbloom ancient on the field or have 20+ spiders on your field
These tribe videos are always interesting. I'm a new player (started playing Commander in March), and learning about other decks you can build always gets me excited to try out new stuff.
I'd always have loved a great Golgari (preferred) or Sultai. The last year DnD set cards were great in Golgari and that would separate them from Zombies who mostly hold Dimir. Good video again man!
I actually built a skeleton tribal and have Volrath the shapestealer as the commander so I get access to all skeleton colors and keep the -1/-1 counter per turn that would still be similar to skeleton ship
Hey these are great videos! I'm shocked you don't have more traction. I'd love to see more of this exact format. Oozes or treefolk perhaps? Soldiers could be interesting with all of the white token generation. Dogs would also be very fun. Keep it up!
I play skeleton deck but I have zombies in non-offensive roles and my commander is Hogaak (green&black). Idea is to have expendable but stable amount of kamikaze creatures with deathtouch that can be sacrificed for their large power and thoughness. Deck is also nonaura enchantment heavy. It is not 100% tribal but has hard rule of not having any cards that are outside of the art, that is less like walking dead and more like Heroes3 necropolis.
Good video solid breakdown but yeah my prefered color is B/G. Meren of Clan Nel Toth has been a fantastic skeleton commander. She has a great recursion ability with experience counters. Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest has also played as a really good commander for b/g skelebois.
Absolutely. Main reason I skipped over B/G skeletons was that it's basically just a Meren deck but with skeletons, so it's not as interesting to discuss.
Love tribal decks! I built an "Eyeball" deck helmed by Glint-Eye Nephilim. (Nobody ever has a problem with it not being legendary.) Janky as all get out. All the cards have "eye" "sight" "vision" and the like in the name. I've never drawn so many cards with a deck. The wincon is Atemsis, All-Seeing. Never got it, but one day...
I always wondered about something like Deep-Sea tribal, I know Serpents are definitely viable but I always wondered about Kraken, Leviathans and even Octopuses faired. Mostly because there’s some removal centered around excluding them, and the theme of the deep sea creatures are just so cool. So maybe a Serpent video to being and later the others!
@@flynnon3835 yeah! I’m also saying it because of the recent support it’s been getting these past few month with that new Kraken commander that makes tokens, as other new cards for that archetype got added too
@@newguy8288 I've done it and I do recommend it. I made it using a variety of the 15-20 sea creature types in the game, mostly ignoring merfolk. Plus all my non creature spells matched the ocean theme. It looked good together. The reason I recommend looking at all the types is because if you want to go all in on the theme you can find oddball utility in idk starfish and oyster come to mind.
Hello! I have an Blue/Black deck with the theme of ''every card in the deck must contain skeleton, bone or skull on the art, name or text/flavor''. Oh, I also have an monored deck with the same theme too! =]
I use a skeleton card in my CEDH combo. I use Buried Alive to Put Triskelion, Mikeaus the unhallowed and Persistant specimen into the grave yard. Then I self reanimate the Persistent specimen and victimize him to bring back Mikaeus and Triskelion.
Personally I love undead as an aesthetic very much and I've upgraded the decks for, Spirits, Vampire, and Zombies and I've been trying to construct Skeletons since it's my favorite of the monster types
I'd prefer Bhaal, Lord of Murder. He enables the widest range of colors (Jund) while beeing on theme with death and undeath and all. He also appreciates your creatures dying while many skeletons can be recast or recycled from the grave.
I love using the God creatures as fill in for tribal commanders, and yes, Bhaal looks like a great fit for Jund Skeletons, gives you another avenue with goad too which is fun.
Im doing a brew with the new gisa, I REALLY wish she made skeletons instead of zombies. so close. Im gonna put in maskwood and conspiracy to make the zombies skellies at least

As someone who just built a wurm deck I gotta admit it's not bad I mean sure outside of casual it's probably not gonna win many games but it's a ton of fun. If you're curious I used vaevictis asmodi the dire as the commander

i just bought every good spider tribal card for my friend who wanted to do spider tribal. the deck ended up being fun but not great.

I was thinking of building a skeleton deck with savara golgari queen as she has a nice dictate of erebos effect got any tips?
i think gut would be the best option as it also cares about sacrificing to make a skeleton, even if gut isnt a skeleton themselves

im currently building a "bonk tribal" deck with the restriction of having an hammer, mace, maul or stick in every artwork!

I mean that’s how I built my arixmethes deck it’s really fun to build up big amounts of mana and then swarm the battlefield with deep sea creatures

iv been trying to make a naga tribe for years but there is no good commander for it as all nagas have zombie love not naga love XD
