Freedom of religion always meant that you would always be free to pick the the religion you wanted to worship. Remember the founders had just left England , a place where you were forced to be a member of The Church of England and no other religion.
It never meant that the public were free from ever seeing religion anywhere they objected and that included gov buildings.

I don’t think it’s biblical to send your child off to be educated by the state government for 12 years. I think people have this twisted; folks should be teaching their children at home and by example. Teach them to be separate from the world. Besides, look at the type of adults our schools are turning out compared to 70 years ago.

Issues with the schools are teachers thinking they are the ones to make decisions on what they teach. Their are employees and do what the community tells to do, not what they want to,they are allowed to teach in their way what they are told to teach period.

I'm a 1980's baby, i remember that in school, in history class, that if you didn't know the 10 Commandments, that it would be one way to flunk that class. For 2 decades, i say I MISS THE 80'S AND 90'S! Every year im miss it more for obvious reasons.

This is not about if the 10 commandments are good or not, it's about freedom of religion and separation of church and state and taxpayer money for public schools. THAT'S ALL.
Parents wanna teach the 10 commandments and take their kids to church, I think that's great, but it doesn't belong in public schools paid for by taxpayer money. And if that's not obvious enough as to why, let me explain in enough detail so that folks aren't confused:
If you are christian, you would want your kids to be taught christian values but not hindu values or buddhist values, right? And you certainly don't like the idea of YOUR taxpayer money paying to teach YOUR kids a different set of values, right?
Well - what about the hindu families that are taxpayers, or the buddhist families that are taxpayers? Don't you think they also feel the same way about their beliefs that THEY don't want THEIR taxpayer money paying to teach their kids YOUR beliefs?
So, one solution would be to have different schools for each set of beliefs and ensure that christian tax dollars go to christian schools and buddhist tax dollars go to buddhist schools and so on, but that's not sustainable and some communities don't have enough of one thing or another to warrant having their own school, and so this is one of the many reasons why we have the separation of church and state, which in relation to schools means, "don't teach religion in schools - that's for parents to do at home"
So y'all can just stop with the "well it would do them good to have some jesus". Well, I'm sure that the hindu parents think that you would do well with some vishnu. Or better yet, society as a whole would be better off without guns, so why don't we take guns away? "Oh but that's because we have a right to guns!" YES! Just like we have a right to freedom of religion. The guns argument isn't about "is it good to shoot people?" is it? No, it's not.
Stop blending things together that aren't related - it just makes everyone seem foolish which I'm assuming isn't what folks are going for.

The ten comandments in schools for those without fathers growing up because they get introduced to God The Father in heaven. Fatherless activities will decrease and more will recognize God's laws delivered to Moses for God's people.
