I always loved how bleak the setting of the assault course looked. Until the much later years, the sky was always thunderously dark, and it was either foggy, raining, or both. They must have switched the filming days to the summer much later on, and it never felt right.
Very good opening titles for 1978, the graphic designer possibly used a Scanimate for the wrapping round of the programme title and circle and title ending.
Those titles were also used for the 1979 & 1980 series then in 1981 the opening titles changed to the one that had the original K logo surrounded by water.
Differences between Series 1 and Series 2. The logo now has a circle around it. This logo would also be used for the 1981 American version. Test #1 is now Mental Agility, given its own category based on certain Intelligence tests from the first series. Test #2 is still Physical Ability, with the course now a straight track and the age/gender head starts now time-based Test #3 is now Intelligence, replacing Personality, with all tests being logic puzzles Test #4, Observation, is the same as before Test #5, General Knowledge, has questions now worth 2 points, plus or minus Also, the stage background is now blue as opposed to white.
After the VT of the Physical Ability round, it's revealed what happened: Diane injured herself practising the long drop at the end but she still ran the course with the others. It was later discovered that she'd broken her arm during the practise.

Saw the US version. How many series did they made
There were two US versions, each with one series. The UK version had 18 series, two for the revival.

I know, that drop must have been the cause of this injury.

@@BlackwoodCompany In 1989 Judith Stafford injured her leg on that same part of the assault course but she still finished the race.
You can tell something was wrong, she had trouble with both the rope swing and the monkey bars. But credit to her for finishing regardless.

I recall seeing another one where a lady landed awkwardly on the rope swing, she pressed on and finished. Turns out she broke her ankle.
Anyone ever bang their head on trying to enter that concrete tunnel?
That happened with Steve Athans from the 1982 Series where he cracked his head on the tunnel

@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 Both the 1978 & 1979 series aired on a Friday evening at 7pm, it aired on Monday at 7pm from the 1980 series onwards.
