  • We wander around the call to Godliness in this age and apply it, not only to our lives, but to our doctrines as well. We also look at the political landscape and lament the dearth of Godliness in our leaders. Not only do we have leaders devoid of Godliness, we are led by many vile people. And, sadly, despite their vile attributes, they have managed to gain the undying loyalty of many professed believers.

    Scary part?
John said he's on the scene twice - not three times, not four....... just twice. First time a short time as the 7th head - then returns - allowed to continue as the 8th head.
There are two descriptions of his rise to power - Daniel's peaceful means and John's ten kings...... after Satan is cast down.
The second time - all power and authority is handed to him - just given to him.... via ten brand new kings.
Daniel said he'd use flattery - a political outsider (he still brags about being an outsider), rises up through peaceful means (election), with a small group (he's called his minority following a small group - exact words), but is not given the honor of the kingdom (despised by the majority).
Despised because it also describes him as vile, contemptuous, mouth like a lion, liar, boaster, makes himself great in his own mind (narcissist), honors those who honor him....
.... said he'd be very wealthy - how do you cast gold and precious jewels to your god of strong towers - if you don't have.....?
Said he'd divide the land for a price - Google "divide the land for a price"....... websites on the topic of real-estate development.
Heck - even had a scam university covering the topic shut down.
Daniel said he'd pitch his tent between the seas in the beautiful land..... a tent represents a temporary structure - nobody expects a wealthy egotistical political to erect a Coleman camping tent in Jerusalem like a homeless guy - do they?
But some translations call it a palatial palace - so it's something significant - but temporary..... an existing consulate converted to a temporary embassy - until permanent is built - takes around ten years.
We watched him do it..... on an avenue named after him.
We watched the great apostasy take place - it happens during his first time on the scene - he turns on the whore the second time - when he has all power and authority.
He's got people from one major religion telling him he's the messiah they've been waiting millennia for - people from another major religion telling him he's anointed by God for such a time as this - will save the nation, save Israel, even save the world - and top that cherry on top with a myriad (someone counted over 250) self-professed prophets declaring any number of blasphemies over him.
We could write volumes on the blasphemy we've all witnessed - and still are.
But here's the thing - here's my point....... all of that has happened - it's done - it's over.
You can only be an outsider the first time - not the second time - he's no longer an outsider....... Daniel's description has been accomplished.
He does not return the second time............ drum roll, please................... until Satan is cast down.
Michael does the casting - thrown right out of heaven.......... that - and the rapture - and destruction like there's never been takes place at the same time....... AT THAT TIME.
And when does AT THAT TIME take place?
When he comes to his end with no one to help him...... after pitching his tent in Jerusalem.
The last part has already happened.
Anyway......... he doesn't return the same way the second time - the second time is after Satan is cast down - and it's just given to him - via ten brand new kings.
