Hey man! I was getting crazy trying to engrave stainless steel... now I think I got it because of your video!! Thank you very much!!! you earn a new follower from Madrid, Spain ;)
Thank you for being a real person. I’m subscribing to your channel and will prob give LONGER a try. The 3D printer arm of the company also had me intrigued. I just may go all in. Thank you thank you!
Hello, Thanks for the Videos and your time. Is there anyway you could make a video on how to update firmware on a longer ray 5 Can’t find anyone who has done a firmware update. Ty
I am doing my first test and nothing is coming out its just goint back and forth but nothing is actually engraving. Any clue why? I have the test wood piece under and 3000 speed with 90% power.
They don’t make one, but I would expect any of them to work with the right connection. The new one for the xTool comes with multiple connectors to work on a variety of machines. I’ll have to give it a try.
Yea the thickness of the material doesn’t matter for engraving. You might need to raise the machine up if it’s something really thick, but it’s no problem.
What is the thickest this would cut? I am burned out trying to figure the right laser for me. I need a laser that will cut up to 1/4 inch, that will allow me to use my own drawings and designs.
The 10 watt model is said to cut 20 mm plywood that 787 thousands a little over 3/4 of an inch 750 thou) my new one is at the UPS facility 🤯 waiting to be delivered.

Thank you for this. Does this work on sterling silver sheet metal?
I don’t think so. You would probably need an IR or fiber laser.
Can you engrave on cork or cork wine stoppers with this machine?
Hey Chris! Would you happen to know if there is a rotary attachment for this machine? Like for engraving tumblers and cups, etc...

I emailed Longer the same question but haven’t heard back yet. Would like to use my laser with pen blanks and and coffee mugs.
Will it engrave thicker items like cutting boards? I noticed you only showed it with very thin material.

Is the longer laser engraver still working
Great video, have you tried cutting acrylic?
Can't cut clear or blue or white acrylic with diode

Have you looked at the new Ortur? It will cut 1/4” plywood no problem. ua-cam.com/video/GlPTxpXxuhg/v-deo.html
