On Screen now is a very well documented video exploring Wigan's Disused station and railway lines! I've enjoyed watching this one and there's even a gate kick! one for 'The Video' lol. Take care and i look forward to your next video as always! To Be Honest: 2 Indeed: 1 On Screen Now: 2
Yet another brilliant Simontrains Railways Journey and I found the Disused Railway Lines and Stations pat of the Vlog very interesting indeed my friend it just shows you how many stations and railway lines that sadly closed down due to certain industries that the railway relied on all them years ago and the rest I’m assuming would of been something to do with Dr Beaching I look forward to Part 2 of this Simontrains Railway Journey when it is released on to your channel until then my friend keep up the good work take care and stay safe
Interesting to see what disused stations were like back in the days before the Beeching Axe. Very interesting video. Keep up the good work Sim0ntrains 😁
I live in Wigan and the lost railway lines are close to where i live. One track bed still has the ballast on it and can be wake along for a fair distance
Drive past what was Hindley South and Hindley station on my way to work everyday. Never knew about Hindley South station . Thanks for the video. Very informative.
Great video, Simon! That whole area seemed to have railways going in every direction, so it's good to understand how the existing lines evolved and how the other lines became disused
I honestly learnt quite a bit making this video and it all started when looking at OS Maps at Ince, my plan was to visit this line but while looking around noticed Lower Ince and tracing the lines from that station, a idea for this video sparked, to bring a active line and a disused line together. thanks barrowc
i really enjoyed this one its amazing to see Wigan Wallgate and Wigan again i arrived at Wallgate when i visited Wigan back in Sept and i walked passed that multi storey car park for the Grand arcade shopping centre when i was walking back into town from trying to visit the Wigan flashes but failed because it rained anyway Ince and Hindley are lovely stations i travelled passed them on the Salford cres to Wigan line which i rode between said stations and its a nice line to ride with lots of lovely stations im looking forward to the line towards Bolton
Interesting Facts about the hidden Railways around Wigan surprised that there weren't any surviving clues at Hindley especially the footpath section where you stood on Bridge, Great Video Simon:)
Nice video Simon, I've never been to this station before but I might visit there one day. I've uploaded a Northern Line video if you want to check it out.
Thank you for sharing Simon, I'm really enjoying these vlogs of disused railways & stations.
Thank you Richard, the disused Railways and Railways still open was the plan for this video.

Thanks for another great video. I didn't realise that Wigan had such an extensive railway heritage. Now I know why G lives there!
Thanks Simon. I was looking at a old map around Ince which made me noticed the line.

When you visited the site of the long gone Hindley South station you missed out on some things that were ver close to you on that site.
How on earth did you do that zooming in without touching it)
Aminated it on wondershare
