I’ve watched your video twice after the first time and I have to say that I’m impressed by your production work. The attention to details is what I enjoy the most. It’s visually pleasing, even when you show how the watch wears on your wrist, your jacket matches the background and of course, it matches the watch 😮. Sugess should pay you for this 😅. I’m glad that you mentioned how it may wear as a larger watch due to the steel bezel and how it looks like “more steel”. I’m considering that aspect, other than that, it’s a beautiful watch.
Thanks so much man! That really means a lot to me. It makes all the hours and late nights working on these videos worth it. After owning this for a bit, I realised that steel bezel GMTs/divers are just not for me. I'd much rather have ceramic/aluminium bezels that make the watch wear smaller.
@@WristWatching thanks for answering back and sharing your personal experience with this watch. I was still on the fence on this one and I thought that it would be ok to get something different this time but…maybe I won’t take the risk as I’m wont to the look of the “regular” bezels. I owned the Pagani Design Explorer II homage for a time (V1) and it never felt right. Anyway, keep up with the good work, you really make the difference!
I have 2 Sugess. The polar version of this and the A384 Chrono homage. Both crowns are solid for me, so hopefully this is a 1-off QC issue. Great review.
Really good review mate. I purchased one of the Chronographs as a bit of a beater watch. I have grown to really like it. These guys are putting out some nice watches lately. Value for money they are not easy to beat either. Very well put together review brother. Thanks.
I have just received this watch today, the crown on mine is solid with no wobble and very smooth to operate. The bracelet is smooth with no sharp edges, same with the case, it's so so comfortable. The adjustable clasp on this Sugess looks the same as what Christopher Ward use on their C60 Trident Pro 300! I have to say that this Sugess is crazy good quality for this price point, amazing really! This review is the reason I went for this watch, thank you!
Nice review, your thorough reviews are excellent with a relax application as you speak and that in itself is inspiring to tune in. My suggestion with kindness and respect to what you may consider is to reach out to the manufacturer to address the noticeable concern with the point you observed with the QC issue with the crown so that your watch can be corrected with the said unsteady crown and in the process all of the crown with the Sugess gmt purchase by all customers will turned out to be a sound good purchase. Congratulations for the elegance and easy to understand presentation you express. 👍 Not many can do what you did so very well.
Thanks to this vid and another one that reviewed the white dialed version… I bought one only 20 minutes ago. White dial. Thanks for the quality review! 💕
My second watch from Sugess with a NH34. And the second time where the GMT hand is off by 15mins or more. Im through with them, but besides that its a good looking piece. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the great review! Liked and subscribed. Forgot to mention, I picked up this exact same watch on 1/13/24 for $170 USD from Ali Express. Spoiler Alert - You've won me over with your high production values and I Sugess you'll be getting at least 10K subs this year!😊😊😊😊
The wobbly crown is more an aesthetic thing than functionally worrying. It's just the crown tube is slightly too large in diameter for the stem. It's not a huge practical concern, it's not as pleasant to use though.
That’s makes a ton of sense! The tube does look slightly too large, but the crown itself wobbles without the stem moving much. It’s probably a combination of the wide tube and the method they used to attach the crown to the stem.
I believe it is the crown and not the NH-35 stem. This would be because the spring in it is weak and not a tight fit inside the crown. As long as the crown is screwed down tight it would be fine. Still they could have made a better crown. As for it running fast, just use the timegrapher and you can set it to 1-2seconds per. With the NH version Seiko does not take the time to set them as accurately as they can be for the price.
@@WristWatching how has the watch been since you posted the review? I'm really keen on it especially in that color. The crown bit is a bit worrying but the comments are saying it's meant to be like that, what you think? Have you contacted Sugess for a comment?

Great review and I'm almost sold. I would prefer a high beat Chinese movement over the NH34. Then again, I'm no horological expert. Is there a movement along the lines of a PT-5000 that supports a GMT complication? Even if so, would it be a reliable alternative?
Thank you! Sugess has a high beat Dandong 3032 movement on their GMT Master homage. I haven’t experienced this movement personally, but I’ve heard great things about it from people in the know.
Seeing that "S" they use to sign the crown, and having recently watched a couple of Seagull ("Sea-Gull"?) reviews with watches that feature a *very* similar "S" on the crown, I can't help but wonder if Sugess/Seestern are part of the Seagull company. Doesn't look that way to me when I look at their web-page, but you never know. And speaking of similarities: It can't be a coincidence that Sugess and San Martin seem to have very similar looking and similarly "equipped" releases these past few weeks and months. Even the clasp on this watch looks suspiciously similar to the new adjustable SM clasp. I seem to remember reading somewhere that these companies/labels operate in close proximity to each other and that they are supplied by the same factories ... but it would be real interesting to find out just how close those ties between the different labels are... or aren't.. :)
I don't think they're part of the same company. They might share some suppliers/factories for certain parts. It's probably just a coincidence, since their brand names all start with 'S'. For what it's worth, my Seiko SARB033 has an 'S' on the crown too ;)
The crown to be that loose means it is a cheap movement inside and I would be concerned as for that movement I would expect a bit of movement but not that much
I don’t think it’s a movement issue. I have the same movement on my Revelot Admiral and the crown is rock solid. I think it’s just the too wide crown tube that another commenter mentioned.
That crown is very wobbly and i'm pretty sure it'll break off at some point. I get the impression that Sugess has quite bad QC and sends most of their watches out without really checking as i've read quite a few complaints on reddit and had a faulty Daytona homage myself. Such a pity because when you get a good one you get top notch stuff.
I have the same feeling too. It’s my second Sugess, and on both of them the crown stem seems fragile. Besides that, the quality is incredible. What was the issue with your Daytona?
@@WristWatching that sucks man, I’d send it back! My Daytona wasn’t winding automatically so would stop rather quickly so i send it back . Ordered a new one that does wind automatically but doesn’t wind enough so runs out after a day or 2. Might be because of unidirectional winding so not sure if this movement is shit too or not 🤨
@@terrencestone3938 I checked around, it seems the wobbly crown is on all units of this model. Guess it isn’t exactly a QC issue. Probably a manufacturing feature or flaw, I guess only Sugess really knows. Your experience with the Daytona sounds much more annoying. I own this watch and dislike 3 things, the S on the crown looks really cheap, the watch is a little to big (real 39mm and shorter lug to lug would be great) and last but not least the 'rounded' edges from the first link in the bracelet look horrible (a sharp edge would look much better like Tudor and San Martin) Fix these 3 things and I would wear it every day because of the beautiful dial!
It’s a blurry line and everyone has different opinions. Tudor doesn’t have this dial colour either. I deem replicas as watches that are trying to pass off as the real thing, this Sugess is not doing that.
I am so done with the Tudor Snowflake hand set copying. Why not another hand set, like Seestern is doing? You don't wear a Tudor, you are wearing a Sugess..! Be proud of it! The same is true of the case back. Why on earth copy the ridicules Tudor / Rolex case back. Difficult to open and so boring... Place for nice engraving, place for some technical details, serial number, limited edition markings etcetera. It is so unbelievably stupid to stay put on this case back. Your watch looks like a rip off, no other advantages here.
Seestern technically used the same handset that Rolex used on that vintage GMT model, so no real points for originality there. But I agree on the caseback, some design would be nice. It’s also super annoying to open if you don’t have a rubber ball caseback remover, since you can’t use regular caseback openers on that sterile caseback.
I feel we need to move away from labelling watches by gender. Men and women come in all sizes, and watch size preference is quite relative. Some prefer larger watches, some prefer smaller ones. That being said, I agree that there’s a gap in the market for a larger version of this.
