Larkin Poe just hit the spot every time.
In particular, it’s what Rebecca does with her vocal in the second half of the song which is so clever, so understated and just so, well, fucking perfect that it makes me want to cry with being touched so deep. In this era of vocal over singing it is just so beautiful!
I bump into this....Some seconds later, instant subscription....Killer riff, old school overdrive on a lap steel, feminine cool attitude, amazing voice and a song that travels you down to Georgia even if you are listening it from Greece!
This song hit me on the perfect day. Yesterday, i was sitting outside in my rocking chair watching a storm approach in our glorious hot, HUMID Mississippi southern weather as i listened to music and read the MS news. With all the uproar and division going on in our nation and just recently in our great state of Mississippi, I just had to share this song on fb with my many friends and family from all over the world bc it paints an appropriate picture of the beautiful heart and soul of the majority of people of ALL colors who are born and raised in my area of the USA and that i was born and raised in!!❤️ I posted a simple reminder to myself and others to “be kind while still standing strong for your beliefs and your community and to smile because you never know who is in need of that hello and that genuine smile at that precise moment.”✌️😙🎶🇺🇸

I just watched these ladies on CBSN, I wasn't really paying attention to the intro. When I heard them play, they definitely got my attention. I knew I had to Google (song ID) them which brought me here and made me a fan. With some musicians, you know instantly they're something special.

I don’t know , you should check out the video for Mississippi. It’s bare bones, shot in a laundromat, but showcases Becca’s voice and both of them with their superlative lap steel and resonator slide guitar playing talents.

My husband is a paranoid schizophrenic....and the song "mad hatter". Really explains alot! I wish that you would make another song about mental health. dude everything about this is incredible.... there's not enough women in the industry making great music with real instruments. female singer/songwriters are SORELY underrepresented. young girls usually just aspire to be red-carpet divas who have their music written for them by a team of pop-producers; usually old white men LOL... Larkin Poe is so goddamn refreshing they're restoring my faith in a generation I assumed was all but lost to computers, MIDI controllers, synthesizers, and auto-tune machines...
