Hey mate! Good question. Jig hooks work great but tying on standard hooks works just as well. It mostly comes down to personal preference. I have some tied on both.

Hi mate, it depends. For example sometimes you need a smaller fly but still a bigger bead, so you would oversize the bead or the opposite may apply for a bigger fly with a small bead
