I watched the whole video just for the instructor. I'm an 80 hr student working on my commercial and I got more from this instructor than my current instructor in two flights. I would love to fly with this guy.
I love this instructor... Just noticed that he was smoking. Well, I guess I could put up with that just because he's an awesome teacher... I love that he is encouraging... doesn't make a person feel stupid.
Conversion going well. Looks you you really got to grips with her. Love the style of instruction......just couldn't deal with the smoking. I guess he cleared that with you. Great work.
All good now, no longer blocked, nice vid. Jumping in the 44 next week. Just started my CFI-H add on and enjoy watching all the videos. I left rotors for a long time and will hopefully make the transition back after several years of FW. Thanks for the effort posting all of them. I might even steal a few of Timmy's one-liners once I CFI again:-)
I can't view this video unfortunately, but all your training vids are excellent! Timmy cracks me up, especially when you almost hit those birds in the other R44 video. He's a great CFI.
sorry you are unable to view this video. I am having no trouble viewing it and have it set up the same as all my other training videos. Hopefully you will be able to view it in the future. Thanks for watching
IM an engineer by trade and have been looking for a few months for a instructor. After calling and talking to the best/most informed person yet. (sorry I don't recall her name but funny as hell) I'm hooked the videos she directed me to are Freaking great. I plan on getting up that way very soon with hopes that Timmy will take my dumb ass as a student... Thank you for the great phone conversation and information...
I love the instructor -- he clearly loves flying. I am impressed by his support and instruction. Congrats on your 44 Eval. who was the instructor, and out of which school?
Hey Daddio!! Good to see you up and running. What's your plan after the transition? Just got back from Kauai for 3 weeks. Going to start back up after the Polar Vortex is over with!! HaHa
just gonna keep logging hours. want to move into some turbine time but that's gonna have to happen after i hit the lottery and find some more time in my schedule. hope to see some vids from you...and a completed checkride video would be nice. how long has it been since you flew?
Hey Wood. Just got back from a long vaca at the condo in Kauai. Trying to purchase a dental practice, have contract ready and bank to finance. Should wrap up in about a month or less. The going to hit it hard and get the some bitch done this time and start to play a little bit. That 44 is pretty awesome. Had a chance to do an hour in Kauai and amazing difference between the two choppers. The 22 is fun but man the 44 is a workhorse that gives you a lot more hp and time to do things. Did my first OGE hover at 1000' in a 44 and it felt like it could have stayed there all day. Was really cool. and the hydraulics are bonus also!! haha
Hey - I've got nearly 1,000 hours in R44s, but I would love to spend some time with your instructor. I'm sure I'd learn a LOT. Ask him if he's planning a trip to Southern California - maybe we could meet up.
Hi, thanks for posted that video, very interesting! I've only done a few hours in an R44 so this is great to watch! I'm really struggling with camera wobble in the R44, would be great if you could tell me how you mounted the camera and what the camera was? Thanks!
Great video once again! Is there a website or name for his flight school? I'm having trouble finding anything. He seems like a great instructor and I'd like to look into going there.
Gotta be careful. UA-cam doesn't like the radio. I've been watching your vids after I found the one where this guy fishes the airplane out of the tree. I don't think that was you next to him in that flight. What's your story with flying anyways? I've always been interested in piloting.
That was another one of his students during the RC rescue flight. I just enjoy flying, that's all. If it's something you are interested in you should definitely pursue it...it's a great and very valuable skillset
Gotcha. He's definitely a smooth operator. I just figured he might have been a former Marine helo pilot since y'all are in Beaufort, near Parris Island, Cherry Point and all that good stuff. I've definitely got CFI envy. You definitely got lucky getting him for a CFI. I got my PPL in SEL/fixed wing in Statesboro, GA back in 2007. I am wanting to get a helicopter rating to add on and came across your videos. Im really glad you shared your flight training experience with all of us in the way that you did in these videos, its really giving me a great idea of what to expect.
Aaron Thomas sorry...didn't read your entire post. yes we are near cherry point KNKT. great area to fly in. he was a great instructor to get my PPL/R with and he is great to transition ships with and also for AFR's and BFR's. thanks for watching
I've looked at all of the comments and replies (I think), and I have not yet seen any info about this instructor, other than apparently you're near KNKT. Is that where he's based? Though I live in San Diego, my sister lives in Shallotte. So next time I visit her, I was thinking I might motor up the coast to spend an hour or two with your instructor. Can you divulge his email address?
i'm having to remove some of the XM background music to stop it from being blocked. You should be able to view it in a few minutes. thanks for watching
I could seriously fly and hang out with that instructor all day all week long. Love these videos as I start venturing into Commercial and CFI.
He's a great instructor. I like his personality. Laid back.

That right there is what you call a master of his craft. What a guy.
I love this guy's voice.. What a great instructor..
This instructor is awesome! "Hold her right there big dog"

i'm sure he won't mind...good luck with your cfi and enjoy the 44...it's a nice ship
I love this teacher! Way to encourage brother! :D
This Instructor simply kicked ass. He is who you want to fly with if you want to learn how to work a machine. Excellent.
And I thought my instructor was really laid back. Lucky you for getting such a great guy to teach you
Awesome instructor
Instructor AND student...top notch avbros.
thanks for watching...

Great video. Great job flying. Great Instructor.
@14:19! Now that's old school, LOL!!! And he's a seriously good CFI!

I don't care for the Robinson, but the flight and Instructor was a good lesson, would have liked to have seen some autos though,Thanks for posting
This instructor is a boss haha!
Very nice!!
Thanks for the lesson.
Now able to watch, awesome video. Where do you guys fly? Also nice "pork eating crusader" patch. Greetings from Valencia, Venezuela.
KMRH and the surrounding areas from KEWN and KNKT out towards the outer banks. Good looking out, Venezuela
This instructor makes me want to be a helicopter pilot.

scwdds1 good luck with the practice...gotta make money to spend it...unfortunately i'm spending more than I'm making :)
I WANT THIS INSTRUCTOR!
Hey -
I've got nearly 1,000 hours in R44s, but I would love to spend some time with your instructor. I'm sure I'd learn a LOT. Ask him if he's planning a trip to Southern California - maybe we could meet up.
That was Cinco Boatworks that I got your channel from.
Kurt
I give props to these instructors...i'd be extremely hesitant to trust my life to a student.
I'm a pilot doing transition training...that's what separates the men from the boys. Thanks for watching

What area is this? I gotta fly with that cfi!
Great video once again! Is there a website or name for his flight school? I'm having trouble finding anything. He seems like a great instructor and I'd like to look into going there.
I left my flight school literally within weeks of them switching from a fleet of 22s to 44s. I've never felt more cheated
Let's fly this bitch (4:42)!!!! This is the guy that I want to be my instructor! He wants you to fly it like you stole it.
Gotta be careful. UA-cam doesn't like the radio.

Instructor is Timmy Brothers Crystal Coast Helicopters Newport North Carolina.
Im gonna go ahead and guess that your CFI is a former Marine Corps pilot...his cool demeanor and speech tipped me off...
nope. hes civilian, but just a great pilot.

Is this same CFI that rescued a RC airplane from a tree for some kid ?
Marshall Smith™ no doubt it is.
LOL is he smoking, cool instruktor )

Smoking cigarettes while giving flying lesson. Now I have seen everything.
No joy on the video......its been blocked by UA-cam.
I'm not having any trouble seeing it...I'll check
Its working for me now.......Sorry for the confusion. Keep up the good work and fly safe.
sounds like a cwo instructor lol
please do not fly in the r22 for training it was never meant to train and it is not forgiving.
