@@Luxeduardo Well of course the head tilts, and you could use the transverse column for panning, if you're heavily into video v photography it might be worth looking at a fluid head, I evidently have a Manfrotto Befree Adv Live 3Way Head tripod coming in for review, it's not here yet but it might be a better fit for video. Cost is more, though not crazy expensive
It took a while to make, but I found so many videos out there that were not useful. I wanted to make one that really was! Thank you for your kind words
I always looks for areas to improve, they are often minor but still that might help makers tweak a few areas. It is a good tripod at the price very soid and has some advantages
Probably the best budget tripod ever. It covers a wide variety of situations. I just discovered that a tripod like this could exist, so I went on youtube to see if there were any reviews about it. Thanks for the video.
For the price it is good, and offers more flexibility for some types of shooting v a normal tripod. As ever, nothing is perfect - it is a decent offering though
Outstanding job of pointing out the potential of this unit. I know it’s sold under other brand names but you should be attracting hits for this presentation! I just ordered it under another name and you confirmed my good decision to get one! Thanks...keep them coming!
As with all tripods pros and cons to the design this one has some additional use at lower angles. It took quite a while to make, and I wanted to show it in detail - most of the tripod videos I've seen feature the usual presenter style minus really seeing the tripod properly - that to me is frustrating and pointless. I was keen to avoid that and show as much as I could in the video on the tripod. I try to apply it to other videos including photo items. Appreciate the comment, hope it was useful to you. Let me know what you think of it when it arrives
The K&F is larger (they do smaller ones of that model though),.honestly the design and build is very similar. K&F have a more compact ball head - apart from that the construction/finishing is near identical. It wouldn't shock me to find out they come out of the same factory. Pick the one with the best price/size that's my advice hope that helps a bit
Hi, good video mate. I wonder if this tripod can compete a more expensive branded Manfrotto , Velbon etc in term of sturdiness and quality ? Thanks for yr feedbacks
It can in most areas the finishing isn't quite up there, but it's solid enough even with a heavy camera/lens on it so there are no concerns in that area. I compared it to a Velbon in the video. It's a bit like the OEM flashes v the Godox ones. Personally I stopped buying OEM flashes because the Godox ones can do almost as good a job and have some obvious advantages for a far lower cost. Same for tripods really some makers are hugely expensive and ones such as this offer 90% of the quality for 25% of the price or around there ;-)
@@MrBazReviews Thank you! I'm a beginner videographer but I feel my latest video is getting there, but by no means perfect. It's something different to do in lockdown.
@@nononsensevegetariancookin5957 Yes useful had a look at a few. I think the vaccine rollout was a bit slow - they were quite fast here, still quite a few cases lot less serious ones. Perhaps the summer will improve things for you hope so!
Very interesting review. I wonder, was the manual very helpful? I wuold've never figured out half the things you did with that tripod. Well, maybe that's why I review knives, watches and flashlights.. they all only do one thing..although it already get's a bit tricky with the flashlights there... I've been following your channel for a while. I am enjoying your reviews tremendously.
Well I try to show as much as I can, but the danger is I end up with a walkthrough (same for torches) which means much longer shooting/editing; perhaps that's a good thing, hard to say some might like it. Have to draw the line at some point though otherwise videos would be 20 minutes +. You can also use the top part of the column for the monopod rotate it 90 degrees, unscrew round plate and remove, I just find it faster to remove the whole unit. Manual is a generic one not for this model so not that useful. The design is unusual works quite well if you want to do lower down shots more often as it goes lower when the second column is out at 90 degrees you might find you don't have to use the short column often (least I didn't much and been using it for 2 weeks odd). I did look at your Fenix torch review looks very nice that one ;-) Thanks for the comment!
What I am looking for is, well I am mostly shooting downward on a table. But I don't want the tripod in front of me because, well it doesn't make handling what's in front of me any easier. I''ve looked at a few arms but I am ever sure. Do you have any recommendations? (Need to ship to austria)..
What type of camera are you using or is it a phone etc? I have a similar one to this it's a super compact one and works quite well where space is limited for that type of shooting it's a good choice v a full sized tripod which is a bit large for a table top. amzn.to/2w20Div I do have another compact one coming in bit different to that not sure when that will turn up. The one I have is very similar different make - design almost the same bar the head, it's pretty stable as you can spread it out, I also sometimes take it out when I don't want to take much with me.
You can but you'll need a phone mount (cheap enough to pick up) it's probably overkill for a phone due to the size/weight perhaps a smaller one would be better depends what you want it for (ie indoors/outside etc)
It is really nice video to explain every points. Can we will buy just adjustable triad head to use our existing tripod. Please make a video to put this tripod head in other tripod.
The Velbon boom arm is fitted to the top of the tripod so it will work just screw it in the product is shown here: amzn.to/2JGbfxw There are other alternatives which are cheaper, I got the boom arm and tripod/head as one package (a few years back), but you can just use the boom arm and fit any head you want. It's on the to do list ie a video about it amzn.to/2JGbfxw
It's certainly solid enough to support a mid to larger fluid head. The main appeal is the adjustable column which can give different angles and a lower position without reversing it. I'm more into photography but do a bit of video so I think it will do the job well enough for that. It took a while to make, but I wanted to show the tripod in detail (often got frustrated myself with tripod videos I used to watch) appreciate the comment!
@@richardmiro144 I've not used the Manfrotto the design on this is different to normal tripods in that you can position the column horizontally quite quickly without removing it. So it allows you to get lower. Depends how low down shooting you are doing. The Velbon boom arm is the best solution for those who frequently want to get low down and change positions (ie macro), this is probably the next best thing. It's a useful variation on a tripod design
I have a question can this tripods center flip upside down so the camera can touch the ground while the extension is extended like a mics arm that attaches it to the stand?
Oh Wait Never mind i found a part of your video showing it can Thx so much for this vid now all i need is a cellhpone mount for this incase if mines wouldnt fit
@@woldsweather It should fit Arca Swiss has a standard size for the connection at the bottom, I've used about 4 different plates with this, unless the size is wrong on the plates and it's not standard Arca Swiss. The jaws open up on the tripod head unless that make is oversized it's hard to see how it won't work
