She Actually Was I Believe, She Was Larger Then Titanic And Olympic And Considering That Olympic Was The Largest Ship(Again) After Titanic Sank Britannic Gained That After She Was Finished In 1915 I Believe
@@Kris_KrispiesYes Britannic was larger than Olympic and Titanic. But here’s the problem, Britannic was completed in 1915. Imperator was completed in 1913 and Vaterland was completed in 1914. Both those ships were much larger than even Britannic. So Britannic could never hope to be the largest ship in the world.

@nboceanlinerhistory Ping this comment, The britannic was never the largest ship in the world as people get confused on this, However I believe she WAS the largest ship to serve as a hospital ship in the world at WW1 so there's that. Yes she was just slightly larger then olympic and titanic but not by much at all. If the video was about size comparison on oceanliners in there wartime phase then britannic would be on this list.
Wait one question Qe started her life in 1940 where shes briefly a big ocean liner target at Clydebank and was taken to new york for safe keeping before she was requisitioned as a troop ship. Does those years count here?
Well in 1940, QE was completed as a troop ship. Since she was serving in the war, she technically wasn’t an ocean liner until 1946. But I see what you mean.

Queen mary was not the reason why those legends where decommissioned it was because they are outdated, a liability, and a huge money pit so Cunard scrapped them due to financial reasons and money saving reasons and also Great depression reasons and not because of the Qm and the Qe soon sledding into service.
Easy. Oasis class ships are "Cruise ships". The QM2 is an "Ocean liner". Cruise ships are built to go from one harbour to the next. Ocean liner are much faster and stronger and built to cross the Atlantic Ocean with any weather on time.
She was way too small to be considered the largest liner in the world. She was about 29,000 tons and in comparison, Queen Elizabeth was 83,000 tons. Queen Elizabeth was the largest liner from the 1940’s to the 70’s and Andrea Doria was completed in the 50’s.
The Queen Mary 2 or ships like Wonder of the seas or Icon of the seas are truly unsinkable you can really say that loud so that nature can hear it . There is no force of nature today to be able to sink those ships.
Queen Mary 2 Wonder Of The Seas Icon Of The Seas Could Sink But The Chance Is Rare And even though it can drown, it takes a very long time to sink so that passengers can save themselves.
They could still sink every ship can sink remember when Titanic was declared unsinkable and when it was sinking most passengers didnt believe it was sinking cuz it was called unksinkable
Britannic, by the time of her "completion," stood at 48000 GRT. Meanwhile, the largest ships in the world were the Imperator and Vaterland, which were both upwards of 50000 GRT.

It wasn't really that common in the early 1900's.
The chance of the ship sinking was below 50%, it also depends on what ship were you on.
I know it's a cliche opinion. But Olympic class sisters were the most visually stunning ocean liners.
For me its the imperator class ones, specially the imperator with his Golden Eagle
I agree
While i love queen mary because she built to be strong , powerful , and loved by everyone
1:48. That’s actually a picture of Baltic’s younger sister, Adriatic (1907, 24,541 GRT).
0:25 That's the ship the Titanic almost collided with as she was leaving Southampton Harbor
The Queen Mary 2 is the world's largest ocean liner but the fastest liner ever was the SS United States
Cunard made titanic 2 it was a movie got hit by a iceberg but in a I forgot
Cunard didn’t make the Olympic 4
wow. sad to see how much ocean liners tehre were before, now there’s basically nearly, none. there’s probably only 1, and that’s the queen mary 2.
