I'm from Turkey, Texas (USA), the home town of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys (Bob Wills pioneered the Western Swing style of music in Texas and the US starting in the 1920s). I just found out tonight quite by accident that there is a town called Texas in Australia - Hell Ya!! I'm going to do a little more research into this Texas town and see what's going on there. @@michelelaraia7358 Thanks - i hoe to visit one day soon. I never knew Texas was so close to Brisbane. I just finished writing a book about WW2 and the Australian and American Merchant Marines that helped win the battles in New Guinea, the Philippines and surrounding islands. Many of the Americans were in and out of port at Brisbane. Very interesting bit of history. Cheers.
