Congratulations on your brand new Son. He TOO looks like your Dad. Both your boys look exactly alike! Very handsome little guys. The business lives on for many many more years to come. Dinner looks amazing Mom.
That one little heifer was sure bawling you out. What a fine bunch of cows with healthy babies. Thanks so much for sharing 😊. Love Angus. We always raised a pair of them as bottle babies when I was a kid. God Bless.
Those Angus cows are amazing mothers and their calves are always the first ones up and sucking. I have calved out many different breeds but Angus cows always rise to the top when it comes to maternal traits! Love these videos!
What a great video. Calving season is a tough time of the year, but nothing is more rewarding than seeing that new calf up on its feet and getting its first drink.
Great video Carson ! I'm enjoying watching the calves being born ! Your dinner looked yummy and keep telling your wife how beautiful she is (which is true) and you'll be a happy man ❤️❣️
My heifers the first one having babies i got 40 on the ground right now now i got 410 to go been really busy last month and this month to go good luck be safe out there
The two of you are the American Way, young couple raising their child with a great deal of love amid a ranch full of American beef raised by multiple generations of caring people. Couldn't be better!!
Great work. Chuckled at that heifer, with all the dry bedding you put out she plunked that baby out in the dirt. Never fails. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Calving going well here as well. Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
Got to say you and your sweet family have become my new UA-cam favorite! You are the first youtubers that I have actually gone back and watched every single video and have thoroughly enjoyed every single one! I love watching and learning about the life of your ranching family and seeing the stunning scenery of every season up there in South Dakota as well as watching all the horse and cow interactions. Your sense of humor and your down to earth explaining of what's happening just really brings happiness to my day! Really do enjoy your videos! May the Lord continue to bless you all!
This makes me wish I could still be doing cattle ranching, most enjoyable time & work in my life (liked what I was doing most everyday). Am now old and just watch.
Great video, wow, a lot of new calves to take care of. Would have been good to have about 15 hungry cats to take care of all those mice under the feed bags.
Very exciting activities on the farm right now, with all concerned. Good to be busy, and very soon, spring will be there. Looking forward to the rest of the season, and more adventures. Thank you very much for this channel, and God bless Cheers
Good evening from Muscat, Oman. Great seeing some grass and not snow covered rolling hills. Hope that the calving goes well this season....thank you for the video
Couple yrs ago I spent hours pulling a difficult calf in the mud & snow & finally got calf drinking & went into house for supper & coffee. Went back out & found mama choked to death on placenta. From now on I remove them when I can
Awesome video. Calving was always my favorite time of year. Well birthing and hatching season for all the animals on the farm. Love seeing new life. Y’all are such caring ranchers. Love seeing your mom out there with you guys. Such an amazing lady. Silas looking so big and happy and of course Demaris is gorgeous as always. Tell her as an older guy living alone her stir fry looked amazing. God bless you all. Your brother in Christ.
17:08 Thank you for sharing your life with us. Calving time is a busy time for you so taking the time to teach the world about ranching is generous of you. I am glad the weather seems to be cooperative too. My neighbor in Arizona ranched around the Firesteel Timber Lake area of northcentral SD. Your part of the state is somewhat different topographically but being able to see the differences is striking. He didn’t have nearly the turkey problem that you do. So, take these words of encouragement and keep doing what you have done your whole life. I know it can and has been difficult at times for you and your family but without your family and the generations of hard work to get here those of us who enjoy beef would suffer. People need to know what it takes to put that steak on the plate. God bless you, your family, and that ranch. May all of you prosper in your endeavors.
That little calf you treated was so darn cute.. Glad those heifers are not having much trouble….Popping them right out…. Calving is such a busy time..but like your dad said going good and getting it over with.. I always fed all our bottle babies…I love those babies…. Have a great day and keep those babies coming..Thanks for sharing…Have a great day!!
Congrats my friend, and hurray for the good weather!!! We are heading into calving times and fingers crossed theres no more of this 5 FEET of snow or 50 below zero stuff.
Carson, how great it is to have seasonal calving, I know it keeps you busy but the advantages outweigh the work. Unfortunately we are not seasonal calving, would like to some day. Because of our climate our females bush calve and it not until we do a round of mustering that we get the cows and calves in. Some cales could be 6 months old by that time. We usually do two rounds a year to pick up all the calves and brand them. Seasonal calving would be a big advantage no winter calves or cows carrying calves through winter. Thanks again good luck with your calving.
Thanks for watching!

Along with other things good for Mammas in the plancenta is oxytocin with stimulates the uterus to clamp down and prevents post partum bleeding.
