- Tennessee and Notre Dame played game 2 of the Knoxville Super Regional in the 2022 College Baseball Season. The Fighting Irish came in leading the best of 3 series 1-0, meaning they were just 1 win away from Omaha.

I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Tennessee is really set up well for the winner-heads-to-Omaha showdown this afternoon. They have both Chase Burns and Drew Beam well rested. It would be a pretty huge upset if Notre Dame is able to beat that combination. But, if the Irish somehow are able to jump out to an early lead, all the pressure will be on the Volunteers. This should be a very interesting Game 3. I’m really looking forward to it.

I don't necessarily think it was them getting too cocky, they played from behind in both previous games by 4 points and battled out a close one with GT, Blade just had a rough day, notice when Dollander started rough against Campbell it kinda threw a wrench into things, same thing happened against ND with Blade (imo).

This is one of the best maybe the best college baseball team ever enjoy the ride Vols fans. They r the most resilient team I've ever seen so much grit and confidence it's awesome to watch and I have a feeling it's not gonna be just this year. Go Big 🍊

Everyone turns into a Monday Morning Expert after the game, I get it. ND was scrappier and wanted it more than UT from what I saw. But don’t everyone go around talking like they were so sure ND was going to win. UT easily the most feared team in the Nation all season. Nobody wanted to face them. ND just hung around and fought hard. Hope they don’t waste this opportunity.

@ H C - This "Super Regional " series will go down in history, since the Tennessee Volunteers had been SO dominant ALL season. No one could ever have believed that the Vols were not going to make it to the College World Series. This was a tremendous accomplishment for underdogs Notre Dame . . . .
