    Wonderful reuse/recycling suggestions! Just a word of caution on storing minced garlic: freezing in oil or water is great! But be very careful if you are refrigerating it because minced garlic in low acid liquids is a great environment to grow botulism in!

    Great tips. I use paperclips and rubber bands to close bags tightly. I'm been saving Silica packets for years and use them in many ways but didn't think to put them on the lids of sugar, flour and such. It's very humid year year round so I put them in coat pockets, my clothing drawers, hang them in mesh bags in my pantry and in my closets. I cut up all kinds of boxes and paint or cover them aa organizers.

    Years ago, I'd started using the empty paper roll idea for my cords to label them. Toilet tissue rolls are great for small or short cords, and the longer, paper towel rolls are used for the larger or longer cords.
    This is my first time to your channel. Great ideas! I love recycling when possible. Thank you for sharing!!

    I love that you are looking out for the environment , I do that too , I'm glad that I'm not the only one I even put the recycled thing in another basket , some think that I'm cheap but they don't think that I care for nature especially in my country, people throw trash on the side of the roads and out of their cars and the smell is really bad , that gives me a heartache . PS , here they don't use recycle bins but I do it anyway .

    I love these videos. I love using recycle products. My favorite is using those plastic straws as zip ties. I want to point out is to be aware of using potato net bags as food scrubbers. The reason is there’s so much micro plastic that peels off and it can still go onto your food product. plastic onto food is not a good deal. I know some people purchase groceries wrapped in cellophane, but you will see in a microscope that the cellophane is also leaching micro plastics particles on the food and meat.

      You are so welcome! So glad to hear that the video was helpful :) I got a comment that it wouldn't be good to use a piece of onion bags to wash veggies since it is made of plastic and may leave micro of them. I also recommend to use them for bathroom cleaning😊

      @@sisletter - thank you so much for this amazing video. This is the first one I’ve seen on your channel and I really like this I’ll be looking at more. I enjoyed the the tips as well as seeing how you cook. While I try not to use plastic containers I still use a plastic brush for washing veggies. How do you reuse the sparkling lemonade glass bottles? Long narrow neck

    • @hameley12
      @hameley12 Рік тому +1

      @@manisha8614 I've seen those bottles, I reuse them by making tea any flavour. I have about ten of those bottles in my fridge lined up in a small container. I buy the tea recyclable tea bags online. Once the tea has cooled down you can refill the bottles using a funnel. So instead of going out to buy expensive iced teas, you have your own selection of iced teas in your refrigerator. Also, if you buy canned items, you can remove the metal piece off. The can itself can be used as a presser, so if you enjoy baking and need a cookie cutter, just press and you've got a round cookie dough. Enjoy! ❤

      Reusing a jelly jar or some small jar like that would work for minced garlic in the fridge. It’s the same type of jar that it is found in the market. Has a better seal and no seepage for odors.through the glass as plastic sometimes does.

    It takes hand and finger strength to do the straws and cutting the bottles and boxes. Enjoy being able to do it while you are young. I can't any more. I really enjoy watching your videos. My dream as a girl was to be a housewife. Yes, there are some of us out there. I was able to live the dream a good part of my life. At first my husband didn't understand and even resented my desire to get at home. His mother had 6 children and worked in a cotton mill. We had no children so he didn't understand. But he came to enjoy and appreciate my skills. I was very good at it. Still not bad despite my disabilities and age. I love being at home and creating order and cleanliness.

    i just love all your sustainable ideas and will definitely practice them! the only thing is isn’t the onion bad made of plastic so you might be introducing more microplastics in the water and on the carrot? i know typical sponges are made of plastic which makes sense in this case but personally, i use cellulose or other natural sponges like copper, steel wool

    저 흰색 수납박스로 싹 정리된 신혼집이 로망이라 신혼살림 사려고 이케아 엄청 뒤지고 있었는뎅.. 시스레터님 영상보고 마음이 좀 바꼈어요. 여전히 사고는 싶지만ㅎㅎ 일단은 자취할때 가지고 있던 것들 잘 활용해서 신혼집 꾸며볼까봐요. 재활용하는 것도 재미있을 것 같아요!

    역시 시스레터님의 살림 아이디어는 엄청나요!! 무심코 버렸던 휴지심, 실리카겔, 건조기 드라이시트, 빨대, 우유곽... 나열하기 힘들 정도로 꽉차고도 알찬 재활용 꿀팁~ 말씀대로 살 때 한 번, 버리기 전에 한 번 더 생각해보아야겠어요~ 쓰레기로만 생각했던 걸 다시 재활용하니, 이렇게 유용한 아이템이 될 수 있네요! 오늘도 좋은 정보, 이쁜 영상에 담아주셔서 감사해요😍👍

      I agree with that statement as well, on the recycling of the dry sheets and everything else.
      I especially liked the meal you cooked, Madam. And agree with your husband's reaction, when he started eating what you cooked, I'd react the same way but in a different manner 🤭☺️
      In a different video? I liked the way you recycled the soda bottles into flower pots, awesome! I'd might just use that idea of yours ma'am, the next time I plant lime seeds including, using egg shells and the other item, to soak up the water from. In that, will a very small thick string work?
