Wow what a great tune! Your dad was loaded with talent. I met him when he sang for David Lee Garza. I'll never forget the moment when I met him. We had seen him perform at Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center with David Lee. Soon after, we all traveled back to the Southside of S.A. We were standing in line at a Church's Fried Chicken at Military/Somerset Rd. When I turned to see who was behind me it was Emilio and Cindy waiting for their turn to order. He was a humble & polite person when I met him. God rest his soul.

I’m sure you hear this a lot, but he is soo sooooo proud of you, and I do believe he’s just a veil away and if you could feel his spirit, then that’s a special and lovely confirmation that’s his spirit is very much alive: I believe that with all my heart. My Grandparents used to tell me this all the time.. and now that they have passed on... they were so right. 😭🥰 i do believe it. It’s such a comfort for my sad broken soul. I think of Mr. Navaira constantly. Because, I think of when his two sons were little boys in the back seat of a sports car at SONIC, "America's Drive In." I worked at my local SONIC from the beginning position as a carhop, to learning the fountain position as well, to becoming Team Leader and before I quit. I went back to work at my local SONIC, starting from the beginning position again and made my way to becoming the first assistant manager. The youngest on the management team and the only female. My restaurant manager and our bosses sent me to training manager training in the Spring of 2001. All before I was 20 years old. I loved SONIC and still do. After working in another SONIC franchise across the city, where I started from the beginning and made my way to BREAKFAST MANAGER when Sonic began selling breakfast, I ended up quitting and found my way back to my original SONIC. Over time, Mr. Navaira was a well known name to me because of his music, but a NEIGHBOR to me first and foremost. I knew when I would see him at SONIC with his children, I knew where they were going or where they were coming from.
