As a shorter rider, I appreciate you measuring the seat height. No one else does this except Shreddie McSkate if I ask him to do it on his live streams..Thank you John!
I've had my GTX for 6 months. I've put almost 500 miles on it, no problems. It's not a mountain bike, but I ride it like one anyway. I've been rough on it, and it has stayed solid. My only 2 concerns: For offroad riding the front suspension is not optimal, & I want to go FASTER!!!😂👊 I unlocked the module/controller thingy, but 35mph isn't fast enough for me.
My GTX came in the day after Christmas (thanks for the discount code btw). I love it! First e-bike and couldn’t be happier with the choice. Can’t wait to see how people start to mod them and start customizing mine.
I've been looking forward to your review of the Bullet GTX for a while! I agree with a lot of the points made, especially the kickstand - It was one of the first upgrades I did to my GTX. I actually don't mind using the PAS and i mostly stay in the 20-25 mph range when I'm riding, but the power is solid. The front suspension is a lil janky but it works for riding on pavement. It's my first ebike, and while I'm happy with the performance overall, there have been too many little quality issues that have come up for me to offer a full recommendation, especially for the money. I have family members looking for an ebike now and I pushed them towards the X-Class and Revv1. If Raev ever sorts out their quality/ logistics issues and get some accessories in stock, then they'll be 10/10 but for now the GTX gets a 7.5/10.
Another great video, I've had a bullet for about a month now, it's my first ebike and I absolutely love it. The company is great to deal with as well I have nothing but good things to say about them.
I have been using this exact same bike for almost 4 months now. I agree it is not great using pedals and the front suspension could be better but I disagree with all the other negative points you describe: throttle positioning, seat too big to pedal (I am 5’10’ with rather big legs and I have no issues), and kickstand is no issues at all as it never failed me in 4 months. From stop state to getting speed I use the throttle to give it a kick then I use pedals to cruise and save battery. Mudguards are too short yes but RAEV sells bigger ones if you need. I do not need them as it rarely rains where I live. The tires are so-so in my view and I changed them. It is one the best looking and comfortable ebike at this price bracket in the market right now. RAEV has backed up their product very well and all parts that have been faulty have been replaced quickly. all the other ebikes look the same. the range, top speed, comfort and look is what make the GTX unbeatable. thanks for reviewing the bike mate.
People who got the recalled battery might want to keep the hard shell case for it. You could get cells repacked in that case, and have a nice spare battery. Would just have to carefully open it up, and cut some wires. I am assuming its the cells and/or BMS that were bad 🪫
I bought my first Raev GTX last year at this very time. Aug. 2023. I loved it and road it every week. I have a Day 6 ebike too. I road it to breakfast and cable locked it down to the handrail right outside the restaurants front door last week & it was stolen. WHAT a bummer. I have looked non stop for more than a week now but will be pre ordering another one before the end of Aug. again this year to get the best discount. It will be delivered in Oct. I'm praying for the dude that took it, he so needs Jesus in his life. Peace
Yeah they should have given you chrome handlebars w/ matching chrome stem. OEM tires are nice as they are from a very great manufacturer. I would hope that they would apply a mudguard in front of the 2nd battery. Rear light could be alot better as it should make your visibility better if night riding or next to cars/larger vehicles. Covers for the rear shock should be nice also but might be customed. Apart from the bike, the car that you posted was probably part of a crime or maybe something worse since its near a field. I’m just hoping that theres no suitcase near the field or in the trunk. 😨 Overall great vid as always! 👍🏼
I just hit little over 34 mph on gps but it was going little down the hill but then flat and it kept the speed up.. but I had over 60% battery and I am at 215lbs. The tires was at 24.5 psi . the display showed 35.4 mph. I am pretty happy with how the bike perform and I have no plans on pedaling this bike ,lol I need to try the replacement battery it might be even better performance
@@MrCentralDriver I got it a day ago and I am not sure why they sent me. I was told my batch is not under replacement since it was latest batch. Did you see any difference when using the new battery?
Keep the bike and do custom mod like add 9speed , full metal fenders, curved rear led brake light to replace rear reflector , twist throttle, cafe handlebar with bar end mirrors , bikini fairing around headlamp.😊😊😊
I build all my bikes single speed. I usually run 14/ 52 gears but it renders useless after 25km/h. If I could find, I'd like to try 53,54,55 or possibly higher, front sprocket. PA senitivity should be adjustable to make it work sooner.
Search it up on Google “race gtx” go to their page and you’ll see every single image they have of the bike. The fender is in the front. This is the exact same way that the Super 73 RX is as well.
I love pretty much everything about this bike, and you did an awesome review so thank you for that. Havent pulled the trigger and bought it yet, but im really thinking about it now. That horn placement really does make me a bit mad though lol. And also can you do cruise with the throttle where you dont have to hold the button down?
Thanks for all the great content, I'm going to a high desert spot in Southern New Mexico. I have a very steep hilly / rocky 15 mile dirt road into town. I'm looking for the right e bike, (fine with modifications / upgrades) I need something with good torque that can handle decent weight, I'm only 140lbs / 5'6" to there's flexibility there. I'm looking at the Freegos and Revv 1s. Fine with older models, any recommendations on how to proceed would be great, thanks!
your light so your gonna fly on anything. if u got very steep hills you cant go wrong with dual motor bikes. they will power up almost anything. revv1 is gonna feel great overall everywhere you go but wont have as much power as a dual motor bike. This gtx is similar to the revv1 at only 2199 compared to 2400 if u get it in the same 20ah battery version. what's nice about the revv1 is the center storage basket if u need to carry things. freego dual motor bikes are heavy as hell and dont handle well at all because the heavy front end weight. the rumble motors apex did this better. the rumble motors predator is gonna be a killer with a 3000w hub motor. c3strom deluxe is the most comfortable bike ever but expensive
@mrCentralDriver do you recommend the GTX for Revv1 for getting around LA? I will be using this as a work and gym commuter. Love the look of the GTX the best but hear good things about the Revv1. Im 6 foot 2 inches 200LB. Looking for a good build and fun ride
ariel rider best for cheap fast power, spark bandit was very fast but handling was horrible. revv1 great all around ebike for its power, speed and price. never had a goat v3 so cant say. raev gtx is a great all around bike just like the revv1 with more battery capacity but bad to pedal and not as much top speed as the revv1. revv1 and raev gtx are the top out of what u mentioned
