- 1999 was a year of heartache for the Columbine High School community. There was, however, an exception one afternoon six months after the tragedy that was filled with joy and celebration.
what about Isaiah? he was a football player too. but I love how they are overcoming such a tragedy 🖤🖤
@Jason Kennawow, really? such big words for a little boy. smh
@Debbe Lynn Isaiah quit because he didn’t like the jocks environment

I am a preschool teacher and I take bullying very serious.. Just thinking about how Dylan’s mom expressed that he was a very sweet boy when he was little.. makes me think how something failed throughout the years as he was growing up and same for Eric.
When I see all the precious children in my classroom I just imagine how great they will be when they grow up and truly care about their wellbeing. I know they are little and will experience so much as they grow up but I try my best everyday to make sure they know the meaning of Being kind to each other and that bulling is not ok. I pray that all role models they have in the future will do this as well. It saddens me how many innocent people were killed that day and how no one imagine it could happened .. like they said the unthinkable happened at Columbine but in reality it could have been prevented, there were many red flags 🚩 that many people ignored.. just if someone could have l acted and given them the help they need it.
Dylans mother also said he was a "sweet" person in the same amount of time that he was actively involved in a plan to kill up to 500 of his classmates, then took joy in aiming his gun at people he didn't know and ending their lives. Take her delusional words with a grain of salt.
Rest In Peace number 70 and all other victims 🥺
Justin Ford You don’t know that, wtf is wrong with you
@Justin Ford What the fuck are you on about? Didn't you hear what they said about him? A very nice and caring guy, funny and a straight A student.

Never forget the police stood outside and refused to make entry.
You have to remember this was 1999, 1 of the 1st school shootings, they were not trained handle this. They were getting info that it was 9 shooters & bombs placed around the school. You can't just go into a building blind. While saving kids Cops & an ambulance were literally being shot at through windows. Like I said they weren't trained for this, had no plan & didn't know how the school looked inside but The shooters did meaning the killers knew all the spots to sneak up & kill. But in the end this did reform how cops handle mass shootings
good
@@JordanWilliams-ix2td “training” is a terrible excuse. Be a human, to help.
@@JordanWilliams-ix2td fuuuukk dat bulllsh*t
@@JordanWilliams-ix2td Columbine was at the END of a string of school shootings in the 90s (Paducah, Jonesboro and Thurston were all right before) so you can't use that to make your point.
Furthermore, the side entrance to the library was open, so armed cops were safely tucked away 15 feet, listening to kids being taunted and murdered, and did nothing. Don't take a job where you take an oath to serve and protect if you're going to be that useless.
This is a terrible tragedy. In reality this was a system failure. The school and policy failed all of these victims. Anti-bullying and gun laws were not in place. These kids did an atrocious act of murder... but it’s reported also they were tormented by this football team. There are reports of throwing cups of feces at the shooters and ketchup over the years... called them names. So much they were both in therapy. I’m not sympathizing, but it needs to be known that most of these shootings are system failures. Failure to identify threats, bullying, and plans. I hope we truly learn one day, so these shootings stop.
But yet they never came after the ones that did all this. But innocent ones who did nothing to them. One was autistic he killed like damn.
@@autriajones-hurst9853 Technically, they're plan was to kill the entire school and not just the specific bullies. From my understanding, most of the kids that bullied them were from the class above them, so they were already out of the school anyway. They knew they were killing innocent kids that hadn't done anything to them.
M Detlef or brain system failure of the entire jock bully football team :) you mad? Someone you loved died there? I’m glad you feel this way
They are hard as hell to notice sometimes.
Some Shootings that should have not happened though
-Sandy hook
-Parkland
In fact, most of these shootings should and could have been prevented
According to another documentary there wasn't evidence of bullying.
If you want to help teach them to not bully kids that aren’t on that field. Making them feel superior just because they run up and down a field does not make them better.
Everyone gets bullied. Doesn't mean you become a sick fuck and shoot up shit. Especially when you're 2 weeks away from graduation.
How fucking dumb do you have to be to write something like this? How big of a pos are you? Defending the killers saying they were “bullied” and that’s okay for what they have done. Parents lost their children, school mates lost their friends, a daughters lost their father. You’re heartless for a comment like that. Screw you. If you bully, doesn’t mean you deserve to lose your life. Fuck you.
@@charliepiercewrestling no cap bullying is bad but not a reason for murder fantasizing is a better alternative than murder my man
Neither of the guys were bullied. Eric was a psychopath who wanted to destroy the world and Dylan was a depressed individual who followed Eric.
It's amazing how everyone was able to bounce back after the tragedy.
You saw them "bouncing back" but their lives will never be the same... You never get the image of death out of your mind or forget the smell of blood and gun powder.
I wouldn't go that far.
That’s your perception. Tell that to people who struggled with PTSD for the rest of their lives and suffered from addiction that took their lives, like Austin Eubanks. A lot never mentally bounced back from Columbine, they may have physically, but physical pain is nothing compared to mental.
Not everyone did
REST IN PEACE #70 and the rest of the victims!
We talking 😢here about Matt.. what about isaiah he was also part of the team… and don’t see nobody talk about him.. also we don’t talk about bullies of students as well..! We need to understand that bully is a problem that we need to take care of.. no wait for the last moment to hear this kind of situation…! Some of those students been bullied for others get the moment that they explote an conduit this to killed ..! Is time to think what we can do about bully on our children’s to don’t see more tragedies like this ..! A lost a lot of students because of that.. and we don’t think how we can prevent that kind of situation… been students bullied can we expect to good reaction no.. even teachers knowing the situation don’t even do nothing for those students until is too late..!
Schoolyard bullies are not the cause of these shootings. Bullies have existed since the dawn of time. This is a mental health issue. Dont be decived.
For some reason Isaiah is not in the 1999 yearbook. He is not in the 99' class photo. Basically, he was nowhere to be found. Weird!
I think they didn't talk about Isaiah because he was a senior, so he wasn't returning to the team, unlike Matt.
Crazy how a certain group of football players (importantly not all of them) had such a violent bullying history and police encounters but were always let go by law enforcement and the school. It doesn’t seem Matt was a part of it. But those that were should be ashamed. Definitely not the singular reason but bullying has consequences and affects people. So yes they were part of the problem. They didn’t make them do the attack but they hurt them and many many kids in Columbine with their bullying and sadly that did play part in why the perpetrators chose to do what they wanted to do. Pushed down repeatedly by fellow students and not being helped out by staff and law enforcement to end the injustice. I don’t want to see this as putting blame on specific people but on the whole community. I hope this was a wake up call and makes everyone learn to stop bullying when we witness any kind of it and to stand up for everyone, reach out to those who need it most. Share kindness, not hare or violence. Especially in school.
It's amazing how these guys always bullied them, yet they killed only 2 or 3 jocks.
Well they planned on blowing up the whole cafeteria.. they would have hit many more people if their bombs hadn’t failed.
Half of the kids killed were athletes of some sort, but not the group that bullied the perpetrators. Some of the main bullies had already graduated by April 1999 and the perpetrators would have graduated three weeks after too, it just doesn’t make sense and it never will.

My heart & prayers go out to the victims family. Yet not only 4 the victims but for the shooters family & i have pity 4 the shooters too. That may shock & offend some, i just believe that no human being can give that kinda hate unless hate is what they were given. I remember high school & i know how those young men felt & unlike me they didnt have faith& prayer to get them over. The hate they recieved, then carried, then distributed. So the narrative that no one was evil to them boyz & that there was no motive behind their hateful rage ... Ill never believe
Yes absolutely 😥😥😫🙏
The way the Columbine community handled this tragedy makes me cry ✝️🇺🇸
Isaiah quit because of his race he still should be honor
Am I crazy or is the narrator of this piece Dawn Anna? (Mother of victim Lauren Townsend). Sure sounds like her. Does anyone know?
It sounds like her but I doubt it is. I think she would of said who she was.
...and yet the bullying problem is never acknowledged.

Great video
When sports is given too much attention, made out to be more than a game, like a gold mine for money purposes and greed, or simply given more credit than it certainly deserves for the purpose it serves, there lies the problem. Students fight for academic prowess to make a real difference in this world as make believe sports games played and soon forgotten because who won or lost never really mattered to begin with. We can always use medical professionals and medical research to improve our health. Do we really need a sports athlete in this world? How about another scholarship for athletics? It is no shock how bullying and over inflated egos over sports became out of control, especially in the ignorant society of America. Sports athletes are admired like they just discovered a cure for cancer. Dream on, they are about as much use as well their next game. Their last ones are already forgotten about.
Yes we do still need sports. Just because these kids didn't participate in sports don't mean people who did were bullies. And both had friends most school shooters don't have friends they loners. These two was not poplar but not loners either.
you’ve probably never played sports
i’m sorry but this has got to be one of the stupidest things i’ve ever heard

I can't imagine the guilt they must have after bullying Eric and Dylan which ended up being the reason for the massacre. I'm sure it's hard to live with themselves knowing they caused it. People please stop bullying others for being different.
What? That’s not the reason they shot people. Notice how they didn’t go after specific people (except Isaiah because he was black). Eric was a psycho who was obsessed with death. Dylan followed along with what Eric said. Dylan was suicidal and didn’t care if he died. The bullying aspect was only a theory not fact.
