It’s good to mix and match glass ware. Those champagne glass ware were pretty. You could find six similar to go with. Olive 🫒 is too cute! Love the old vintage Christmas ornaments. 🎉🌺🎄🎊
I am beginning to think mixing glass is such a good idea. Maybe if I can have six of each set, that would work? Either way I’m keeping my eyes out next time. 😍Also isn’t she such a doll!? She was very very curious about everything. 😁
Super video! Can't wait to see what you and Melissa do in her landscape. The white 'planter' you purchased and the other ones you passed up, is called milk glass. The larger white one you picked up from England looks like Ironstone, which is collectible. The small ones hung on the wall - are called 'wall pocket planters'. I am loving your kitchen cabinets - they look beautiful. Happy New Year to you and your husband.
Marybeth I love all of this great information, I am learning so much! I thought they might have been milk glass, but I wasn’t sure. I just recently learned more about Ironstone and I am so invested now, I really want to find more pieces to add to my collection. 🤩 I just saw this BEAUTIFUL wall pocket planter, it was a bit large, but now I wish I would have bought it. It was one with a drainage hole and was absolutely beautiful. Please always share your knowledge, I feel like I am entering my antiquing era and am open to all the information you and everyone else have to offer. Happiest of new year to you and your family! Also thank you, I’m so close to selecting a color for the cabinets, so close! 🥰
@@InTheGardenWithClaudia You are too sweet, Claudia, I'm still learning as I go along also. I love all of your gardening content but when I saw you were going antiquing.... well, let's just say I put everything down to watch it then and there.
Hola Claudia! Antique shopping is my kind of ‘day out’. The second piece you purchased is ‘ironstone’ and I have a similar one. I collect ironstone soup tureens. There are mini ones, so cute! Happy, Healthy, Blessed New Year 🎉 it’s exciting to see what this next year will bring. And of course looking forward to your videos 🥰
Denise we would have so much fun shopping together!! I LOVE that you collect them, especially minis!! I love that so much!! I have a feeling it’s quickly becoming the thing I look for every time I go antiquing. I didn’t know much about ironstone china until recent, I’m always here to listen if you ever have something cool to share or tell me about them. 🥰
Love , antique stores and auctions ❤️those where soup tureens ,perfect for flowers, but true only buy what you LOVE …..You definitely did GOOD on the ornaments…..that was fun I have that book,it was given to me by a lady at least 25 years ago, that owned a flower shops , I too was going to frame the some of the wildflowers it was old then ,but never did 😂. Happy New Year and Blessings on you and your family this coming year ,I am ready for a new start. 🎈🌱
Aww really!? It’s actually such a beautiful book! I was enjoying it this morning with coffee and admiring all the pretty paintings. I really had to hold back and only be intentional about what I bought. I do LOVEEEEE a soup tureen for arrangements, my collection is slowly growing. 🥰❤️ Also happy new year!! 🤗
Happy New Year Claudia and Sergei 🎆 Love antique shopping! Thank you for bringing us along! The flower vessels are all wonderful!!! Can't wait to see what you arrange in them ❣BTW, you should go back and get, what looked like, a wall water feature 😉it was beautiful!
Okayyyy this is exactly what I needed to hear!! I was like I hope someone tells me to go back and get that wall water feature. 😂 Thank you so much for watching and encouraging me, I can’t wait to go on another treasure hunt with you all. ❤️ Happy new year.
In the first store, the little two piece candle holder you looked at, was a Fenton Art Glass fairy lamp. Alot of people aren't familiar with them, but they're very sweet. When you light a tea light candle in them, the light flits around inside like a little fairy is in there. Some with more intricate cut glass and colors really sparkle.
Oh really? I wish I had known that. There are so many fun things I find that I usually have no idea what they are, but now that I know you guys are so knowledgeable I may just share more trips. 🥰❤️ Thank you for explain it to me.
Please don't destroy that book. It's a gem. Perhaps you could go someplace like Staples and they could photocopy your favorite pages for framing. Happy New Year! Enjoyed exploring the shops.
Happy new year Sharon!! You know what’s funny, I was sitting down and going through it with a cup of coffee and was just thinking maybe I make copies or something. I’m going to take it in and see what my options are, because it really is a beautiful book. 🥰
Isn't it great!! Her husband Matt built it from his own plants I believe. I will ask her to confirm, worst case scenario I will give you all a closer look when we get back in her garden. 💞
So funny you said this because I went through a stage where that’s all I wanted. But I just go through these phases in what I love, but honestly this isn’t a bad idea. ❤️
lol Michelle we were SWEATING!!! We took turns holding her but boy does she move fast. Everyone of course had to say hi to her, so she was def the star of the day. Mel and I learned our lesson, we will probably not be doing that again. 😆
Aww really!? Hmm I didn’t change anything, the only thing I can think of is. E cause it was mostly filmed indoors it may have seemed more warped. I’ll make sure to go slower next time. ❤️

What fun! I loved going along with this shopping trip. What a bonus find on the ornaments! Happy new year Claudia!
Deb, I was so happy with those ornaments. I know next year we will have fun decorating with them. 🤩
I’m so glad I found a local to me garden channel! Hope you come back to OC!
Aww yay!!!! I sure will! I love OC, especially the little down town area, the sweetest little town! We love fishing out there too! 💞
I like that green vase which would be great with florals for Christmas, Spring or summer or fall
Darn, I did not think of that! I should have gotten it for the holidays, I guess this means another trip? 😁❤️

When I was a kid we had the Wildflowers of America book in our home
Ohh really?? It's such a beautiful book. If you think of any other books with similar prints feel free to share, I'd love to order more. 💞

love Mel's greenhouse, any resources for similar or plans?

❤
Friends, antiquing, and yummy food. What's not to love. 💕
Why not just buy mismatched vintage glassware...when you entertain, people can identify their own unique glass , makes for an eclectic, fun collection
So funny you said this because I went through a stage where that’s all I wanted. But I just go through these phases in what I love, but honestly this isn’t a bad idea. ❤️

How scary to take a toddler shopping in places like those! You two are brave. But she is really cute.

I really enjoy all your videos but this one was difficult to watch cuz it was hurting my eyes. Did you change cameras? Loved the content though!!
