Find it interesting how the C-802 can choose a flight height but the Tomahawk and the anti-ship version on the Type 052C can't yet. That'd most those missiles more effective since right now it simply cruises at an iffy alt.
I heard JF-17 mod was reviewed by JF-17 designer personally (same designer of J-20); considering the effort and support implied in this info (although I haven't able to confirm), developer may had easier time getting accurate information they need to build this mod with sufficient accuracy for entertainment (while not leaking sensitive information). In comparison, no one really knows what CIC on 52C looks like, let alone the capabilities of the missile; most publicly available information of Chinese weapons are speculations
Dumb question. Would it be possible for your air wing (grim reapers) be able to hit a carrier that's has a typical battle group assigned to it?? That would be a good video.
Also seems a bit faster too, harpoon is around 800km/h this C802AK seems to able to get around 1000km/h....Still, although I really wanted a super sonic anti ship missile😂
The more of your videos I watch about this plane, the more I think the UI on it is amazing. I don't actually have it yet, but will almost certainly get it at some point.
@Dmitri Kozlowsky Jf-17 has RD-93 engine, it's not RD-33 of mig 29. You didn't even know what were you talking about 😂 it looks like you smoke weed too much
@Dmitri Kozlowsky no it's not correct. It's an updraded version of RD-33. The JF-17 has 3 versions, block 1 , 2 and the 3rd one is in production which 1st prototype was flown December 27th. The 3rd block includes aesa radar and helmet mounted display and improved some other stuff as well. So my point is can i call the the block 3 as block 1 or 2 ??? Of course i cannot. So it's RD-93 an upgraded version of RD-33 and for your information now they're looking forward to use WS-13 engine.
@Dmitri Kozlowsky First of all tell me Was that the answer of my question??? Secondly let me tell you there are just 2 countries in the world having 2 stealth fighter jet programs. Usa and China yes of course j-20 and j-31 the perfect copy of f-35 (which you can't deny if you've got brain out there in your head). And they're (chinese) using Ws-15 and Ws-13 in those jets respectively and by the way Rd-93 is also at some point a chinese made engine (After the contract between Russia and China). You never answered my questions, Everytime you beat around the bush why don't you just study and then talk to me???
@Dmitri Kozlowsky lol, WS13 is a pretty reliable engine. China even stopped buying Al31 engines from Russia anymore, since the WS10 engine is already matured, it has slighty higher thrust and longer lifespan than Al31, hundreds of newer jets like J10C, J11B, J16 used WS10 engines, at and so far no engine related crash. WS13 enterd service way before WS10, and it has been used on FBC-1 for nearly 2 decades...
Hey cap. I've been trying to find this answer. How do I know when I'm in range? The rb15s have the range gate but I can't for the life of me see any range indication on these. The line on HSM stays dotted no matter how close you are....
I really hate to say this as it makes me feel a prick but I love these videos when it's just you showing us things and don't have pompous people talking over you the whole time. Keep em coming Cap.
The anti-ship capability of JF-17 does not exist, its fake news. When in early 1980s, Pakistan inducted Mirage-5PA3 for naval strike role, it was equipped with Agave radar to work with Exocet anti-ship missiles. This radar was different from Air Force ground strike version. Royal Navy has a dedicated maritime strike version of Tornado, the GR1B, its different from GR1 and GR1A and other versions. Indian Navy has its own version of Jaguar, called IM. IM Jaguar is different from air force version, the IS. Jaguar IM also carries Agave radar for maritime search and attacks (now replaced by Elta radars). In 1980s, Iran-Iraq did a lengthy maritime warfare against each others ships. Iraqi AF Mirage F1Es carried Cyrano IV radar made for this role with Exocet missiles. French Navy has Super Etendard with Exocets and Anemone radar (optimised for maritime strike). In short, maritime or anti-shipping role needs a dedicated radar alongwith Anti-ship missiles. Thats why F-14, F-15 and F-16 dont have any anti-shipping roles. One exception is Norway's F-16s modified to carry Penguin AShM with modified radar. Now, Pakistan Navy still has to depend upon very old Mirage-5s for maritime strike role, there is NO replacement. JF-17 would need a dedicated or modified radar for maritime strike role in addition to missiles. In addition, these aircrafts would need to make sure that IFF systems work with ships too in addition to enemy aircrafts. In 1971, PAF did fire on Pakistan Navy ships.
@@isaquesevero4369 Yeah, Harpoons aren't great right now. Makes me not want to do anti ship with the Hornet when it takes 5+ missiles to sink a small frigate

Would be really cool to watch, they could use the F-14b with TALD to try and draw attention from the actual ASMs.
that is next vid
This thing deals much more damage than a harpoon, and picks up targets better too

Once the AGM-84H/K SLAM- and ER is out i may change my mind
Wait for the cruise missile coming in a few hours!

How did you manage to fire it when you have a dotted line on the HSD?
So flying a fighter jet is not a piece of cake!
what is the range for JF-17 with C802 and max internal and external fuel ???
Not sure yet sorry
Lunatic indian media used to call this plane, a junk fighter. And it seems like they were wrong, like always.

could be possible to designate an specific target boat between all those boats ?
watch next vid for how to take a certain boat. " hours from now.
Is it possible to drop a mark point down and use it as a route point without copying?
Will give it a try
How do you hide the stick. I dont find any option for that in the JF17
click bottom of it

Yes Sir
Missile animation is too fast.Doesnt it leave a booster trail?
No because it's a jet engine not a rocket motor.
@@grimreapers ok should then be a heat distortion behind the missile. What's a good joystick now a days btw? I'm from the MS Force Feedback vintage!
Turn on seeker head at last possible minute, more time lower the better

No one can beat F/A 18 in anti ship plane in DCS

once the harpoons are corrected it may be the best anti ship plane in DCS

they need to fix the Harpoon's damage asap, its too low.
