Thanks man, it’s pretty fun. My challenge with these is to sample everything from vinyl (unless I need to play some bass/guitar too) so there’s that mix of live and record crackle.

Funky Oliver! 🥁👏👏 how did you sinc videos and beats..trying to figure out the approach?
Yeah he’s got that groove! He films his thing while recording then sends me the individual tracks (kick, snare, overhead etc), I mix them in Reason (usually I’m throwing the kick / snare or whole thing on the sp202 also for more grit) n export it as a stereo track, import that onto a mk2 pad n start hunting for a samples to flip…in the pattern sequencer I’m recording the chops all in one long pattern - easy to fk up but when you get a full take right it feels good 😂 cheers!
@@Nonjuror great approach ! Thanks for xplaning ..I m always puzzled..on how to approach distance collaboration with other musicians or producers for syncing with videos at the end mix.👊
Good news for this project is that the easiest thing to sync with is drums when you look at the sounds wave - the kicks and snares of his camera audio and my final 404 beat are obvious. Syncing guitar gives me a headache tho, one frame out either way looks so wrong…big time saver is also trying to get them to film at the same frame rate as you work with.
