- This is one of the most challenging tasks in BMS. You're dealing with low visibility, low altitude, the Terrain Following Radar (there are a lot of different parameters you need to stay inside), the need for quick and precise execution, and the enemy force, which remains the most lethal threat. My mission was to destroy the radars of one air base deep inside the enemy lines. A couple of MK84s did the job with their significant splash damage (lol I almost missed). I got ambushed on my way home, but that's for another video ;)
This 58 seconds sums up BMS pretty well.
If I had another name for bms I'd call it FUBAR

Bms devs are working better than tripleA software houses, they achieved something incredible
what block of f16 is this , why does it have this weird hud?
Block 40, it is called WAR hud and it is capable to project the flir image directly on the glass
Why use the nvgs? So fun yo got with just flir for me. Great video!!
@@briantoplessbar4685 In fact, I'm not even sure if they can be used together in real life, but on BMS, it increases the brightness a bit... and looks cool ;) If I had to choose, I'll go for nvgs because the flir on the hud is too limited to be used for combat. For navigation it's fine, but for good situation awareness you have to constantly look around.
@@evilangel_1919 it’s looks awesome. I read vipers in the storm and my squad have missions where we try to simulate the late 80s FLIR missions. Which we never flown for the exact reason you mention. I get killed by manpads way to often due to lack of SA. 500 kts on the deck looking through a tube lol
@@briantoplessbar4685 I have a reel from the same mission as this video... you said it: manpads! I was trying to figure out what was causing the warnings (I had been hit by the triple A) when they ambushed me. It's so immersive
What trackingir you use
i'm using opentrack with a custom model made by myself, but I suggest the delan clip... the track ir by natural point is too expensive
