Just this morning I saw these jumbo stamps for the first time and fell in love. I now know what I will be doing for a few extra-special holiday gifts. Thank you so much!

These are our jumbo cling rubber stamps and are available on our website at www.stampendous.com. This particular design is retired, but we have many others.

what are the washing indications once the fabric has been stamped?

    • @StampendousInc

Hi Joyta, you should wash the fabric before stamping without using any fabric softener, this will remove the sizing from the fabric. Then once you've stamped and the paint has dried, you'll want to be sure to heat set the design by putting the piece in a hot dryer (don't wash it first). After that you can wash and dry normally. We suggest using cold or warm water and low dryer temps so it will last longer. Eventually it will fade, but it will last a good long time.

I'm surprised about using acrylic paint would last through many washings. Does the additive really work?

It does, @Chris J. It keeps the fabric soft, without it acrylic paint tends to stiffen the fabric. The paint does fade over time, but we've even done t-shirts with lots of success and washed and dried them many times. The key points are to wash out all the sizing from the fabric first, then use the DecoArt Textile Medium - OR, now DecoArt offers SoSoft paints especially for fabric. We are looking forward to trying some! decoart.com/sosoft/

You can actually just run them under the tap. Or you can use baby wipes, or our Stamp Cleaner with dauber top.

These are stamped with two parts acrylic paint (DecoArt Americana) and one part DecoArt Textile Medium.
