Anyway, she just had me sing, "Yeah, you know they love Parkev, 'cause he gives us real good stocks!!" ( not that I really say 'real good', professor).
they were not downgrades, they were PT reductions. only one was down grade, and that was PNB, which was a little sus at best. also the stock is starting to go green on days the reduced PT are announced. that my friend can be a good sign. we all pretty much know the old PT was to high. Its now down to around $156 and more reasonable.
As the trailing EPS is still negative, I think banks/analysts tried to make a case for it being overvalued in the window between last and coming earnings. Given the extreme decline from 150+ to 85+, that seemed to have worked very well. Shortselling has doubled the last two quarters and it simply pays off to try and talk the stock down while you're at it. If micron weren't cyclical, and there hadn't been talk about China export restrictions it might have gone differently. But in the end the financials are solid, and they can capitalize on the AI boom the coming quarters.
@@BethCronk-bd3nk yeah many are in same boat. hang in there. HBM makes the cycle much more interesting and i think the market is pricing it based on amplitude and frequency of historical cycles. best of luck...

Micron still has an average price target well above the current price. Forward earnings can pick up in the latter half of 2024
