I’m buying Puts on Micron before earnings. The market hasn’t reacted positively to any of the semiconductors earnings this quarter. NVDA and AVGO killed earnings but the market sold them off. Same thing will happen to Micron on the 25th.

@@giorgiomaria I bet that "analyst" has short selled. Makes no sense to rate at over 100 and then 65. If there was such big problem why only now when the stock is cheap they downgraded? Seems suspicious. Plus he said about l9ng term situation, in 2025+. But we still have a quartal which will bring good sales results.
I’m down 22% for Micron.
I'm in the same boat. I initially bought fairly low, but made the mistake of adding a substantial amount by buying shortly before the last earnings report, then starting to buy the dip away too soon. I'm in a situation where I feel my position is too big to add much to, and I would need to add a lot to bring the cost basis down by much. I'll just have to wait and see if it recovers. Parkev is right that it seems dirt cheap right now. Hopefully the market thinks so too, after earnings. It's one of the only stocks that hasn't really recovered from the July/August AI selloff.
@@dvb1701 i bought after earnings swoon and still got whacked. don't despair. I think Parkev is right about investors and markets hanging on to the past cyclicality of the memory market. I don't think the "market" has thought through the effect AI demand is going to have on manufacturing capacity. I believe it will smooth out and lengthen the memory cycles, so that the memory makers will have more time to adjust to markets. If edge device demand takes off as forecast, that should be a multi year tailwind. Best of luck...
I realized that it will not be a loss if I will not sell it. I’m holding and may buy some dips.
@@dvb1701 it hit $111, 13 short trading days ago... it is high beta so it can go up as fast as it can come down. it is kinda tied to NVDA but you have to remember that all GPU TPU regardless of the designer, needs HBM. also a replacement cycle in edge devices will be a big tailwind. the cyclicality will be smoothed out by production capacity being utilized for HBM, which should also lessen the cyclical nature of memory.
Definitely don't need to sell it after such a short time.

just look at any company's value before nov23 if the value is close or below then it is good to buy. most tech companies are overvalued now.after rate cut expect 5 percent growth. micron is good buy at current price because its price is close to where it was in Nov23. all the best

I can understand your sentiment. But sometimes the market doesn’t act rationally. Look at Nvidia. Their stock dropped after a great earnings report. I think you should see this dip as a buying opportunity. You already think it’s going to $100, so why not DCA and make some money. But you should only do what you can afford to do of course.
